Quite right. The word DESPERATION springs to mind.

As does LACK OF ALTERNATIVES.

And also PROSSER LIKES PUBLICITY (however small it may be).

to be honest, i dont think it is desperation or lack of alternatives - sometimes the guests, such as perry, are genuinely interesting to listen to

inviting prosser on once to deal with the sheffield united game i can understand, but im just interested as to why he has been invited back for a second time as he only has one link to the albion, and surely it was dealt with on his last appearance

And what can he POSSIBLY say about it that he didn't last time? It's not like there has been any development.

and did you not deal with THAT match first time he was on? if so, i doubt very much a year is going to have changed his opinion on the event when he had six previously to reflect on it

Fair points, and to be honest, I don't know. There were questions from the first time around I wish I'd asked, but for whatever reason didn't. We might not get the answers I want to hear, but I want to have another chance to ask them.

fair enough - i would have given him a grilling first time around over the whole racism issue and what went on that day, and then it really makes him obsolete from an albion fans point of view

best of luck with it - im sure if you can get him opening up this time to what actually happened that day it will make for a good listen

Scotty when is the next Moan In? I reckon saw that Al in town to day he was just off to hold up Sport and Soccer or what ever its called now. He said 'here, hopless born and bred (he recognised me from the Argus) whens that moan in coming baaaack I got some fings to say bout that poi - et'

Absolute and total bollocks. How f***ing dare you, you dirty little liar.

You've made several unwarranted and unwanted references to my partner on here as if you know her or me. You've done it with other posters as well.

Your feeble denial makes your intrusions even more unpalatable.

I just wish you'd f*** off.

:lolol: :lolol: :lolol:

Why don't you get HB&B on? That would be FAR more entertaining. :jester:

It’s all kicked off here by the looks of it and I want to address some points made.

TCB – You say “It seems like they've gone for him in the deperate hope of trying to create a bit of controversy, but really it's backfired”

Not true at all. One of the roar members said shall we get Prossor back on and we just said yes without thinking. “Desperate hope” Ha, that’s laughable. We just get guests in and leave the sensationalizing to others.

HB&B – I take your comments about show times etc on board so thanks for that, but I think your comment reinforcing what someone else said about Al is a cheap shot. He made a comment once about it being ‘his’ show which I’m sure me and Richie have also done without thinking. We are a team and Al makes a valuable contribution by getting guests in (such as Martin Perry, Dick Knight etc) and helps to pay towards to the station costs, which we all do.

Al is more of a talker on the show as that is his role. Me and Richie are the presenters and running that desk takes a lot of our time. Al also has a presence of NSC which me and Richie don’t have personally so I think that puts Al in the firing line.

We are a team and none of us are bigger than another.

Scotty Mac you say “sorry, i dont understand how the apparent lack of listeners has anything to do with inviting him back? although i may just be reading it wrongly”

My only issue here is ‘the apparent lack of listeners,’ part of what you said. How would you know? If you base it on NSC view and comments that tells you very little. Essentially, I am the only one that knows what hits we get on the website, where we do very well thanks, but can’t comment on FM or Reverb website.

I hear these type of references a lot from TCB, but again complete conjecture. I know you’re involved with the Moan In, which I think is a welcome addition to what is on offer for Albion fans, but I don’t make comments about your listeners as how would I know how many people listen?

Think a lot of people get the show wrong and Al. At the end of the day this whole Prossor thing is way overblown. If you don't like the guests or the show don't listen. If you've got a question then post it or email us.

In fairness, I think Scotty was referring TLO's post above - hence he used the word "apparent". I don't think anyone apart from you lot know how many listen.

All I know is you'll be hard pressed to get a guest as interesting and knowlegable as Perry was last week

Well it wasn't intended as a cheap shot and I am sorry if you have misconstrued it as that. I am aware of the self funding procedures at Reverb as I am actually in early negotiation with Clive Crask (or similar) regarding my own ideas at the moment and may become of founder anyway.

As for Safeways idea I think its a good one. I will work out when my wife isn't practising her insufferable Pilate's one Saturday and let you know my availability. Cheers

i obviously dont have a bloody clue. how would i? i was merely referencing what alan said in response to my question about why he has been invited on for a second time, but i appologise if it caused an issue with you:

Well, according to many on NSC, no-one listens to the show. So if you had no interest in listening to the show in the first place, you're no better or worse off. And if no-one's going to listen to this week's show (normal, apparently), we can spend the hour playing records, or talking about cooking, or playing cards.

Alternatively, one year on, there's an opportunity to hear what he has to say about THAT match.

Surprise, surprise, HB Inbred back on the self promotion trail again.

I'm with TLO on this one and think a degree of 'f***ing off' would be nice.
