Had to resort to an insult given every stat goes against his anti-Ryan agenda I suppose.

An anti Ryan agenda ffs

It's a comment I made and to me seems like he has a habit of kicking the ball straight out for a throw in. I'm not the one taking issue with a comment, and I said will expect him to do it a minimum of four times over the next three games. It was an offer to revisit this later and add a friendly competition over it, but no you have chosen to take it very seriously with this ant Ryan agenda claim.

As I said wet Lettuce :lolol:

Nah “Wet lettuce’s” is a good way of putting it.

Lighten up guys.

Not everyone will agree with you in life let alone football. Fans of all clubs everywhere have good and less good opinions about players in their team. It’s not hating, it’s part of the game and it doesn’t make someone “not a real fan” because say, they don’t rate Dale Stevens.

And it’s not ‘an agenda’ lol.

Disagree with the prevailing wind. For me Propper is a decent player, playing really really awfully. He certainly needs dropping currently but selling is another matter at this point IMO. It's an area we need to improve for sure and I think Stephens days are numbered, after that Propper will come under focus as Bissouma is clearly on the upgrade but moving on half the side in the summer is just plain silly.

On balance of risk/value the ideal answer would be the addition of good CM on rising form who fulfills enough of the scope the others bring, but does so more consistently and with a broader set of skills. Agree a wholesale change of Propper, Gross, Stephens and Mooy is too radical and Propper, Mooy and Stephens all fulfill a much needed role for us most of the time..but a plan to gradually transition into an upgrade of them is needed over the next two seasons if the vision is to build on our position in the PL. Left untouched it could become next seasons longest thread of NSC 'if only' woe.

I don't really agree with the statement tbh.
Plenty of times this season where it has worked really well, with Davy moving it through the midfield once the press has been pulled out of position.
More often we work it down the flanks when teams aren't looking to press, very rarely do we "hoof it" and give the ball away.
We may go long to Burn on the left wing. But this is mainly to mix it up with a fairly high percentage long ball to the tallest player on the pitch.

The times it has gone wrong is when playing against teams who press really well and commit to blocking the options, forcing a mistake.
Man City and Liverpool are excellent at it so it's understandable that people think we always do it badly.
But we don't.

Despite my comments on hoping there is a plan to upgrade the CM role to build for future success, I do have empathy for how much pressure and scrutiny we put Propper and Stephens under in what is a hard role, in a tough league with some of Europes most pressing teams with an unrelenting playing from the back tactic. I don't have any criticism of their inevitable mistakes, all players in that role have them in the PL. I just recognise the horses were not brought in for that course and with an ambition to raise us up the table...I think there is a level they'll get us then we need the upgrade.

I am a Propper fan but after his performance last time out I will be genuinely shocked if he’s a starter tomorrow

I have seen more hoofs, often in panic, when we get pressed and can't play it out safely, than I can remember. Most of them to where Ryan thinks Burn is and others that go sailing out over Burns' head.

You concede that where it goes wrong is against the high pressing teams. So why play that way against the high pressing teams? We are too obvious in the way we are going to play out from the back every time. We need more variety.

We may have a problem Houston if the he starts tomorrow, Southampton press high up the pitch and we all know what's been happening lately with Davy boy.

that shot he somehow smashed high and wide last night sums him up in many ways.

Hope he has a new boot deal in the summer.

Still one of our best players. Lets be honest, if he didn't have mistakes in him, he wouldn't be playing for us!

This is eaxclty the problem with people on here. Propper is bang average, Him and a few others is why we are fighting relegation every season. If we want to aim for a top 10 finish then players like him need to be moved on including Stephens. I will also say Mooey and Gross. All to slow

I don't hate any of our players but I think that Bissouma has been the best central midfield performer since the restart and that Alzate alongside him will be the best pairing next season.

Where would that leave Propper? Playing him further forward, where he performed well for PSV and plays for Holland, doesn't seem to be an option that our coaching staff considers, so I imagine he would rather move on to Ajax or somewhere if that interest is still there.

Oh great despite the multiple threads pointing to Spence posting negative shite and being so wrong, he's deciding to double down, once again.

Stupid is as stupid does.
