What on EARTH is he up to?

I have to say, he was one of the few royal I liked. I would like to think I would be a bit like him if I had loads of money and too much time (chasing fit birds, drinking too much, occasional scuffles....) but this time he has gone too far.

How he can dare to wear a Nazi uniform when millions of people in this country fought a long and horrible war, with so many deaths, is beyond me. People like my granddad spent months in hospital after being blown up so that they could fight a force that would have seen Harry's family deposed and probably washing dirty plates for the rest of their lives.

There really can be no justification. People have said it was a private party. So what? Is it ok to circulate kiddy porn at a private party because no-one else will see it? No it bloody isn't.

I can't believe that one of the hundreds of people we pay to employ to advise him didn't suggest he had a bit of a rethink.

I don't know what the protocol is for this kind of thing but I really hope people don't forgive and forget this one because he has landed a massive insult on all those who lost their lives to help maintain the position he currently enjoys.

Rob i see your point ,but it was a fancy dress party and not a public rally ...How many people do you know that have gone to a fancy dress party wear that type of dress? Even more so , how many costume shops actually stock them .

He may not have intended to offend anyone but he does get to live a very priveleged life, has had a top notch education, has seen more countries than I have had hot dinners and yet he still sees fit to wear something as disgusting as this - private party or not.

I'm not for a minute suggesting it was a deliberately callous act or one to mock people but there are hundreds of thousands of people who lost loved ones to Nazi bullets and bomns - how must they be feeling today that the great grandson of the King whose name (in theory) they were fighting in, has decided to ponce around with his mates with that muck on his arm?

Sorry I have to agree with Rob on this one. He has taken it too far. also he must have known that there would be photographers queuing up to try and get a picture of him, they always are.

It is even more hurtful to people that he has done it because he is a member of the royal family and its the holocaust and 60th anniversary of the end of world war 2. There was the smoking of cannabis, underage drinking and a fracas with a photographer which i can see a normal teenager doing and therefore most people werent really that bothered about him doing them. Watching the Auschwitz programme the other night made me even more angry this morning seeing that twerp parading round with the armband like its the latest fashion accessory. anyhow if it was serious fancy dress why was he not in proper green uniform etc.

its not just dressing up as a soldier is it, its the swastika which will cause most offence to everyone.

I think he is showing the mental nous of a Hewitt. Harry does have some responsibilty to think things through, seeing as his position gives him a lifestyle most of us can only dream about. The fact that his family are to all intents and purposes German adds a certain irony though.

3. More people were killed in Auswitsch, by the SS and/or under the orders of the SS, than the total number of UK and US fighting forces killed in WWII. How does this make an SS uniform "funny"?

4. Auswitsch was just one of a network of camps who's only role was the systematic murder of human beings - including captured Allied personnel and civilians. All camps were under the command and direct control of the SS - how does this make wearing their uniform "amusing"?

5. There is no comparison between John Clees doing a silly walk and a member of the Royal Family openly wearing a uniform of the worst and most inhumane organisation that the world has ever known. btw - Freddie Starr wearing a "Nazi" uniform isn't funny either.

6. Where were his "advisors" for chrissake - what do they do to earn their money then?

7. Harry is NOT a child - he is an adolescent or an adult (I really don't know how old he is).

8. Nothing that the Royal Family does is "in private" - nor should it be. They must be fully accountable to their public.

9. Openly wearing an SS uniform to a party, is NOT amusing - it is stupid, whoever you are.

.................and if the Germans had invaded the UK in WWII his family would have been interred in Concentration camps by the SS.
