Argus said that we are also playing Hastings and Billericay as part of the deals for Loft and Elder

Another July coming up against NoMarks United then. Why can't we ever get 2 or 3 games against decent opposition to get a proper workout ?

I suspect a tour of Essex is on the cards.

Throw in Dagenham, Grays and Colchester (again) and thats our pre season done :nono:
Get Norwich and Ipswich, some real test ffs.

We are limited to games at home aren't we? I don't think any clubs in the top two leagues play home games, do they?

Fair point. But couldn't we get some kind of little tri-team tournament going though, somewhere like Crawley, or at a 4th division clubs ground, involving us, the hosts, and a Championship or smaller Premiership club ?

Just needs a bit of IMAGINATION. I'm sick of making do with run-outs against bloody pub teams.

In a way, it is good for Sussex football to visit the minnows. Certainly helps build on our relationships with a potential outlet for our youngsters to get experience, but I agree that a tournament would be great or decent opposition to assess triallists.

We have the Ipswich game - where do they play their reserve team if we lose the toss?

if we are gonna have pointless friendlies with the teams in our county, at least have a mini friendly competition league to make it a little bit more interesting playing them every summer.

I think it's more about fitness than being interesting
