Pure speculation. When Potter came to Brighton it was for the long term. Family is settled here, kids at school etc. He's not the sort of guy to commute to a job like Jose M. Also, importantly we've given a hands off message, we have a long term contract with him which would mean a big compensation package for us, and we've stated that we wouldn't sack him even if we are relegated.
No certainty of course, but we hold the cards, not Everton.
Not TOO long, hopefully. The prospect makes me feel a bit nauseous also
I wouldn't be surprised if there was another contract offer in the offing for the likes of Potter, Bissouma and White. Whether they sign is another thing, but we do like to keep our players contracts updated in accordance with their status.
Potter should be happy to sign it. It gives him stability and a clear path to put his ideas in motion. If it works and Brighton climb the league then he'll be the target for some top teams (who could afford any compo). If it doesn't work, well, he's got a decent pay off.
He's young: he can afford to wait for a couple of years before taking a top job
Your man love for Slaven Bilic makes me feel bilious

The way we play is very high risk and enjoyable to watch mostly whatever the score was I can only think of twice we didn't turn up .
Potters game is based on total trust between the players of what they're trying to do .
The way Potter has changed the clubs playing philosophy is incredible in the time he's been in charge .
The one thing that's hindered him and us as supporters is the chance conversion rate which is I think the 2nd worst in the league , then look at the chances created and we're 4th ! Mental .
So everyone on the planet now knows how good Potter is at getting a team to play his way , the jigsaw is obviously missing a vital piece and I can only assume the club will try and find that elusive 20plus goals a season striker , because in simple terms if we had that last season we would be easily in the top 8 ! .
At the moment we're a perfect fit for Potter , I would be gutted if he moved on , love the football we're playing .
Doesn't mean much .... Potter had joined us before an 'official approach'.......... AllegedlyArgus confirming no official approach.
Argus confirming no official approach.
Managers come and go. We're not reliant on having a good manager because the squad is built with their input, but also with a longer term focus than just one person. If he leaves, he'll be replaced and I don't think we'd be much weaker for it.
Opening gambit for an upcoming offer I fear…the fact that we are even mentioning it suggests…no smoke without fire.
I think he’d be an amazing coup for them, they have the funds to back him too.
GP fans should be concerned if not worried
Everton will be a good 'project' plenty of money, new ground being built... Huge club..
Thinking back though, GP is very much a family man and before committing to us, he was concerned about uprooting his children.
Also, I'm not sure he'll get the same unreserved backing and behind the scenes support anywhere else.
I'm sure Swansman would have a better 'feel' for the situation than myself, but GP does seem to be the loyal type...... so not worried too much.
No smoke without fire. Gonna be some proper pant pissing from the Cult if Graham decides to just jack us off.
Whatever happens I have confidence that the club always have a working list of managerial candidates for occasions where manager gets poached or sacked. And most the list will be people we'd probably never consider as fans.
