Or maybe they aren't saying "Game On", because the match have never been in doubt?

The club aren't completely thick (well, i hope they aren't...).

They read NSC. If there's uneccessary doubt on NSC that might lead to a few people NOT buying tickets when they would, they'll stick a notice up on the website. They don't want to lose cash.

However, after the critisicm last time when they announced the match as 'on' before it was called off, they'll probably take the cautious approach and say nothing, just in case.

Of course, the match might never have been in doubt, but posts on NSC would suggest that people have heard otherwise.

At this stage in the afternoon, they've really no way of confirming whether the game's on or off. Common sense and looking out the window in BN1 says it'll be definitely on, but when you have to factor in crap stuff like a sliippery South Stand, it all gets a bit random.

OK I have just called the press office from Bright Towers and the press guy seemed to think that the game has never been in doubt.

I told him that a few people were saying it could be off, he replied "I think someone is pulling your plank mate!".

He said he would double check and let me know if anything changes. But obviously the game is on otherwise they would have warned the press people by now.

There you have it!

Good man!

Tho in the end it's down to the referee and how quickly it gets cold after dark.

Well I just checked out a website on my colleague computer, and it shows temperature as it drops through the day.

Right now it's about 8 degrees, it will drop to six degrees by 6pm, bit will stay at 6 degrees until at least 10pm.

temp down to -2 tonight :(

Hope I don't have to turn around half way there again, 'cos as has rightly been said, 'tis too early to know at this stage whether it's on or off.

It hasn't even been cold today!!

And i've just stepped outside, and the temperatures are not freezing by any means.

I actually think it was colder for the Tranmere game last week!

The temp may be below freezing later, but that is an OVERNIGHT low. It won't get that cold until way gone mid'night.

At the time the match is on the temperature will be around 6 degrees, which is fine for a football match in mid Febuary.

Today's maximum temperature in Hove was 12C 54F, er 22 fahrenheit above freezing !!!!!!!!!!!!.

This thread is absurd. Min temperature tonight is going to be 2C 36F.

Anway I almost lost the will to live during the Tranmere match so sold my tickets am staying indoors and watching Holby City so enjoy the superb Withdean experience.

Of course it was!

Highs of nearly 10 degrees in Brighton today.

It was nowhere near as mild at that back in December, it was a really cold snap.

Not that cold about 5C 41F maximum temperature the day of the Gillingham game.
