Ali J’s decent cameo means he should start the next game. Give the guy a chance FFS at least he gives his all. Not sure all the others did tonight

No positives, in 1 game we've potentially ruined the whole season. We're not safe yet, We've been shit the last 3 games, And now lost our goal difference . . . . GP naivety/stupidity whatever . . . De ja vu . . . .

Hopefully the game signals another goalkeeper to challenge Ryan for his place. Button isn't quality enough to trouble Maty Ryan

Potter would have learnt a lot again. Certain players have been found out.
Propper is a waste of space, might as well have Jenks, Sanders, Baluta or Molumby. Don't care he has nice hair or plays for the Netherlands, he isn't a footballer. Connolly is nowhere near up to playing on his own. Webster too many mistakes in him, thank goodness White will be here next season. And Bernardo NEVER a full back. But we all knew that. Had he not watched videos of old games?!

Not sure you quite understand how a season works. It isn't one go, shit or bust

I enjoyed the game. Made some decent moves against the second best team in the world. Never gave up. Never dropped heads.

Disappointed that BHA 'supporters' on NSC are mocking our performance

Could you copy and paste that to the saturdat drinking thread, with ingredients, we need some ( include mushrooms and blotting paper too please)

I'm not so sure. If he had learned, we'd have been better deploying a back 5, going full on Chris Hughton bus parking. Trashed the GD, got the expected zero points. It was naieve to try and out play them with a weakened starting 11.

Sadly, I agree with this. I know hindsight's a wonderful thing but no point setting up to play marginally more positive against a team like City and be twice as worse defensively because of it. It would have been no less enjoyable to watch us have parked the bus for 90 minutes. We wouldn't have had any fewer shots.

The only positive is that I’m already at home, with a decent bottle of wine, so I haven’t got to spend an hour and a half getting home, listening to idiot comments about the match.

Actually, another positive - it was free to view, so I didn’t waste my remaining Now TV Sky pass to watch it

A tad hysterical. It is a long time since we were on last on football league roundup at five to midnight, presented by that Asian lad and the bird with flyaway hair, with 'expert' analysis from 'did you see that!' Clazza

We had a curry delivered but they left out 1 chicken Dhansak and the onion bhajis, phoned up the curry house, full of apologies sent out the missing items together with an additional vegetable curry plus a large bottle of coke, so I'm calling that a positive.

We'll not know how he really intended to use this game, which in reality was a "free hit" against an exceptional side. The team he put out against our previous "free hit", Liverpool, really rose to the occasion and gave them a bloody good game. Tonight's team in comparison came across as a bunch of shuffling old men. Two completely different performances. But as you say, he could have just parked the bus and kept fingers crossed, in the folorn hope of maybe getting something out of the game, but he'll have learnt nothing about his players. It was disappointing but we move on. I'll hope and expect our last 3 games to be a more dogged search for points.

OK, ok. Maybe, just maybe, I didn't give a shit about tonight. Nobody got injured or sent off. Next!
