That 'Soli' player that seemed to have caused us problems appears to be the Ivory Coast wonder kid they signed yesterday (scored 8 goals in 3 games at the under 17 World Cup).

Kazenga and seagull27 why are you moaning its only a pre season friendly

But it's so important to get the right preparation. We had a terrible pre-season last year, and look where that left us. Ok, we narrowly won the league, but only just. If we'd prepared for it properly then we would have done far better, in a league full of tin pot clubs with players who are no better than my sister. If we play as badly as we did last year in the Championship, we have no chance :(

pot calling the kettle black.Your the biggest moaner on here

I decided to look at the origins of this phrase, more interesting than I thought it would be.

According to a Yahoo answers contributor:

Many years ago, people used to cook over an open flame using copper kettles and iron pots. The copper kettles were usually polished after every use whereas the iron pots were not and remained blackened from the soot from previous cookings.
Well someone got the idea that if the iron pot were alive and it looked at a nearby copper kettle, it would see a black image. The iron pot believes it sees the image of the copper kettle when in reality, because the copper kettle was polished, what the iron pot was seeing was a reflection of itself.
This symbolic phrase became associated with hypocrisy. An accuser blames someone else for having a fault when the accuser has the same fault.

I like it.

:lolol: his wedding speech was rubbish. As for my brother, I did warn him but what can you do:shrug:

2-2 FT

Indeed, what can you do! You would think common sense would prevail, but clearly you got the vast majority of that.

2 nil and we f***ed it up...!

Damn right. Wimps, chokers, splitters! :jester:

Ps I was at Southampton Uni today in the Cochlear Implant zone. Do you work on campus?

Yep, Souleymane Coulibaly it seems. Looks a superb prospect. Perhaps a sneaky loan agreement, after all we are playing them twice n'all.

No, Paul old chap. Against my better judgement, I'm in the 'sickhouse' a bit further up the road.

Ahhhhhh! I seem to have discovered another sickhouse. The vegetable Jalfry has threatened to return me back to the hospital or perhaps the sour tasting Raita. Curses to the Terrace Cafe :tantrum:
