My estimation is based on the fact that the stand holds 2000 (fact) there was a segregated area between us and the Wolves fans so we had a maximum of half of the area i.e 1000. There was a minimum 200 empty seats.

I thought that stand held 5,355...

Whine, winge, moan, snipe, bitch, complain, grumble, carp, bleat gripe.

Look why don't you just shut up. One thing i hate about the UK is the number of tossers whose life is just one long childish rant about one thing or the other.

Tell you what if you can come up with a link between the ticket arrangements, illegal immigrants, the fox-hunting ban and the EU, I'll buy you a years subscription to the Daily f***ing Mail*

* NB. Not i won't you miserable bastards.

The Jack Harris stand holds nearly 5,500. The away section of this stand holds around 2000. Our area was pretty full - I'd say about 85-90%. Do the maths.

You really are a tiresome individual, aren't you?

I do not believe that to be true, no way anything like that the stand only holds 2000

You'd find a way to argue in an empty room ffs!

At Withdean it was announced that all 1750 tickets (our full allocation) had been sold. It isn't very difficult is it-1750 tickets sold = a f*** of a lot more than your 'estimated 800'.

As somebody else said "Do you ever post ANYTHING positive about the Albion"?

The Jack Harris Stand has a capacity of 5,355. Not 2,000, that is just the portion handed over to the away team.

You are correct, in my elation at getting a draw and reading the gumpf on the way home I misread the figure of the capacity.

However I went in to the shop on Christmas Eve and bought my tickets and when my sons phoned to find out the opening times there was a recorded message stating that the club had returned all UNSOLD tickets to Wolves.

So according to that we didnt sell out our allocation of 1750 perhaps my estimate was low but it wasnt anything like the figure that I would have expected from a club that can sell 5400 tickets for Spurs to regular supporters so quickly.

I believe that the Tottenham tickets should have been sold as a double with either Wolves Sheff Utd or Cardiff.
Why? I don't want to go to Wolves, Sheff Utd or Cardiff.

There is absolutely no excuse for not having a Spurs ticket. I got mine by going to White Hart Lane and buying it. All true fans will be there, the part-timers will just whinge on here about how unfair it all was.

Now I know you are on a wind up. Southend took 5000 to West Ham for a cup game. They probably take 100 to a lot of away games.

Not only are you tiresome but you aren't very good at wind ups. :nono:

The exact opposite the regular supporters may not be at Tottenham because so many part- timers are. The club do not care one iota all they want is to sell the tickets and get the money in.

As I have said I have got my Tottenham tickets so I am not complaining.

The Wolves website also said that the game was all-ticket for Albion fans and all tickets had been sold and Albion fans should not travel without tickets.

I called Wolves yesterday morning and was able to buy a ticket, in the Albion section, without any problem whatsoever.

Go figure.

why does this fact ire so many people?? The club is a business - yes they do have a duty of care to their STH's but all in all they need to sell as many tickets as possible - so why do people get so wound up!!

I despair I really do....:nono:

Not entirely true-I know of a season ticket holder who lives in Berkshire, goes to every game (home and away) but didn't get tickets for him and wife because they couldn't hand deliver their applications. Unlike a lot of BigTime Charlies going to their first Albion away game courtesy of living near the ticket office whose applications were days ahead of postal applications (I know because I applied on the day of the announcement and ended up with £37 tickets from the second batch of tickets).

There are loads of others with similar stories to tell.....

.....so ALL true fans WON'T be at WHL...

They get wound up because he is on a wind up. If he really believes the drivel he posts then he has serious problems.

You still haven't said why they should have been sold as a package on the 'Eat your greens or you won't get any ice cream' principle. Surely that would be exploiting the fans by effectively making them buy unwanted goods?

I'm obviously biased because I'm a part-time fan. When I was younger I went to every game home and away, but now with a wife and two school-age children I simply can't afford four season tickets and four away trips every fortnight. Consequently I pick and choose our games. Tottenham yes, Cardiff, no.

I know this offends the "I'm a Season Ticket Holder and go to all away games so I should get priority" brigade but I don't see anything wrong with 70, 80, 90% of Spurs tickets going to people who haven't seen Brighton play since the Millennium Stadium. These are the people you are going to need at Falmer unless you want only 5-6000 people rattling around it.

I repeat, if they were true fans they would have got their arses down to White Hart Lane and got their tickets there. Especially coming from Berkshire.

PS Bwian, I am on a bit of a wind-up ('NSC baiting' as Monster Munch called it) but every time there is a big game I am truly sick of the "My legless granny who has been to every home game since 1914 can't get a ticket because the club sold it to a Fat Cat Corporate Sponsor" posts.
