Bloody Worthing!
Starmer played with a straight bat as usual while Johnson wafted and played around every delivery... Johnson, managed to go from thanking Starmer and the Labour Party for their support over Covid to accusing Starmer and the Labour Party of "Sniping from the sidelines when they really should be supporting the government" in the answers to two consequitive questions!

Also a little bit of a stretch to say that the virus would have been worse had it not been for the marvellous work of managing the economy byTory governments over the last 10 years.... How much worse than 40,000 deaths could that be?

I guess the problem that Sir K faces every week is that he is dealing with a shameless liar. It must be like trying to nail jelly to the wall.

That's the problem; how do you score a goal when they keep moving the goalposts?

He's still got far more about him than Johnson ever will.

Lancing
When do you feel he might start to risk a few plans and policies 'should they get elected'?

Whilst I'm sure that they have learned and moved on from free WiFi for all, at some stage they need to capitalise on BoJo's apparent failings.

cant see any policies being made public until the next election

Why doesn't Johnson move to bin off PMQs? It would spare him from looking a proper kunnt on this weekly basis.

No....leave it alone....its brilliant.
On one side...Brigadier Bluster....on the other side...Captain Hindsight....Both as funny as each other. One making it up as he goes along, to the sound of muffled laughter from the back benches. The other droning on about what should have been done and avoiding any alternatives, to the sound of snoring from the back benches. My God, what have we done to deserve these two!!!

Indeed, they remind me of these two.

Well...its not as if we aren't all use to it. We had John ( ' family values ' ) Major, followed by dear old Baloney, followed by old giveaway Pumpkin Head, followed by the Bullingdon Bullshitter, followed by Mrs Desperately Deceitful. More damage done by this lot than in the previous 150 years.

OMG...you are easily pleased. I am still trying to find the hospital that carried out Starmer's charisma by-pass. I want to recommend them. The surgeon must be brilliant.

I think that Starmer has been quite controlled during PMQ's so far, I get the impression that he is just doing a little fencing and has not even begun to put Johnson in a corner he cannot escape from. It will come.

Interesting angle on the most recent PMQs

https://www.theguardian.com/comment...abour-is-right-to-turn-the-spotlight-on-sunak

But as the warm glow of the Treasury’s skilful early response to the pandemic fades to the chill of an autumn where one in three employers are reportedly planning redundancies, something has shifted. It is no accident that at prime minister’s questions this week, Keir Starmer read out an angry letter from a constituent of Sunak’s whose wedding planning business has been hard hit by Covid restrictions, and who accused the government of closing its ears. The point was hammered home when Labour cheekily released a parody “brand Rishi” post online, bearing the slogan “Millions of jobs at risk” over the chancellor’s familiar handwritten signature and the tagline “Rishi’s name is all over it”. Boris Johnson is no longer Starmer’s only target, which reveals something both about how the political landscape has changed this summer and about Labour’s approach to the hard road aheadW.

He's a lawyer, he's going to be calm and measured for the most part but if he needs to he will pull someone apart. Unless you want someone that is all bluster and no substance, in which case I would like to introduce you to the Government.

Indeed, but still they point out faults without offering viable alternatives.
In the fast changing world of Covid and Brexit calamities there is little point in offering an alternative this far out from an election. When the twin disasters have run their course, then will be the time to offer credible alternatives.
