In the fast changing world of Covid and Brexit calamities there is little point in offering an alternative this far out from an election. When the twin disasters have run their course, then will be the time to offer credible alternatives.

If you say so.

The gains made in this easy time might well be decimated once Momentum's wishes come out.

He's a lawyer, he's going to be calm and measured for the most part but if he needs to he will pull someone apart. Unless you want someone that is all bluster and no substance, in which case I would like to introduce you to the Government.
Starmer is all about dealing with facts, Johnson is all about lies and false promises, Starmer will remember the facts of the lies that Johnson won't remember.

Soon the cool factmeister will have to delve into the murky waters of undeliverable policies. Let's see how his facts work under such scrutiny..

It's an open goal for Labour every week at the moment, the gains Labour are making currently won't be " Decimated". You had best actually look up " Decimated" if I were you, it's not what you think.

West is BEST
A sign of the times and an indication of the idiots that voted for this government that the masses want unsubstantiated bluster and slogans over calm, measured questioning and a collected demeanour.
We have come so far down the road of showmanship, cheap rhetoric and outright lies that a lot of people can’t even recognise a normal politician anymore. Write him off as “boring”, “ineffectual”.

People want to be comforted. They don’t want the news. They don’t want to deal with climate change, disastrous Brexit, Covid deaths. They want a big cuddly blond teddy bear clown to tell them lies.

****ing insanity.

Would these policies be anything like Johnson's " Oven Ready" Withdrawal Agreement? The one Johnson himself can't agree to now? Could you see Labour under Starmer coming up with anything as hilarious as this?

I eagerly await such revelations, and my response shall be in accordance with the level of credibility.

Bloody Worthing!
A pretty typical PMQ today.

Starmer: asks precise, detailed and pertinent questions in a clear and reasonable fashion.

Johnson: gives the same answer to each question.

At one point Starmer had to ask him to listen to the question. Not that it makes any difference to the answer.

He then did exactly the same when Ian Blackford put his two questions. And Blackford also reprimanded him for not answering the question put.

What a disgrace for a PM the man is.

If times were really good like the late 90's or early 2000's we might just get away with someone like Johnson. But I'm afraid with have the worst PM at the worst of times.

Jeremy Hunt would have been far from perfect but at least there would be some realism and some leadership

It is quite funny trying to guess which accusation he is going the throw at Starmer. Last week in two consequtive answers Johnson grudgingly thanked Starmer for his support in the first, then accused him of not supporting Johnson or the government in the next answer... Always funny when Johnson tries to play the Brexit card and it is ignored!..

You can visualize PMQ'S and the Prime Minstrel as a custard pie fight.... Johnson furiously throwing different sizes and types of pie's at Starmer as Starmer just sways out of the way all the time...

not sure of Stamer's line of question, highlighting areas under restriction are seeing cases rise. either need more restriction or people arent following rules, as they spreading virus among themselves. bit fortunate we have the waffle master evading, so we dont get uncomfortable answers.

Today PMQs will be interesting as Starmer has now pivoted towards 'the science' and uncoupled from the Johnson direction of travel. Johnson's attack line will be informed by the pressure he's under from his own backbenchers to loosen the lockdown. So we'll now have a properly (OK, traditional) adversarial set up. I suspect Johnson will prefer this. Whether he will still be preferring it when (OK, if) the current policy fails to deliver and he needs to use the Starmer circuit-breaker approach remains to be seen.

It'll be the Government arguing against listening to the Government's scientific advisers while the opposition argue in favour of listening to the Government's scientific advisers.

And if that sounds mad, it is.

Johnson is weak getting pushed around by the Hawks in his own party and now ignoring the science. With Starmer calling for a circuit break, he's backed into a bit of a corner.

He needs to do one now and probably again at Christmas to have any chance of avoiding another disaster

Still fire fighting as they go, no real plan

I'm not sure she was that bad, he was handed Brexit based on a pile of lies. The only way Johnson could was to tell even more lies, in the end he will run out of road
