How many more rumour threads from people supposedly 'in the know' or starting tedious or pointless threads. It is becoming boring.

If they had their own area on the site, they could post and after a 3 or 6 month 'hello' period they could join the main board provided they had posted something worthwhile?

Why dont we BAN people with over 5000 posts, as they are obviously clueless, past it and have nothing good or interesting to say anymore. You were a newbie once! also if we had a 3 or 6 month 'hello' period that people could join when they had posted something worthwhile...you would never get a post on here!!

One forum, one board, no cliques (other than the nazi mods). The main attraction of NSC is finding the random gold in threads you never would have thought possible (especially the thought of Pippa Middleton in the centre centre with a bucket of baby oil).

Im sorry but I really have a problem with the treatment given to new NSChatters. I (now) fully understand the whole JCL thing but the treatment given to newbies on this site is, quite frankly embarrasing! Surely we as fans should be positive towards each other, banning newbies is not going to help anyone. I fully understand and admire the people who have sat through the shit at Gillingham, those who have sat through the Withdean up's and downs, getting soaked through more often or not, you people DO deserve admiration but I'm sure you're all aware that we have lost a whole generation of fans over the last 10-15 years. These people need to be WELCOMED and encouraged to ditch thier Man U or Chelsea shirts and encourage thier children and thier childrens children to help this amazing club grow in this new era. I know about the tounge in cheek attitude applied throughout this forum, belive it or not I read it for years before finally signing up (to ask a question about beers at Charlton if I remember correctly) but new users DO NOT know about it and it can be a quite an intimmidating or exclusive place to be part of. I'll get shot down (again) for bringing this up, as an example a friend of mines 17 year old son had a look on here after I told him about it, I asked him today if he had signed up and he said no way, they all hate each other and take the piss out of the new users. Is this what we want? He was barely 2 years old when we lost the Goldstone, he knows nothing different! Come on guys, enough is enough? Peace
