Attention seeking or supposedly witty transfer rumour threads are part and parcel of the off season on NSC. How long before the 1st, "Has NSC gone donwhill" thread? I reckon no more than another week. Nothing to do with all the newbies imo.

As I approach 10,000 posts I am becoming increasingly concerned about what to do.
Happy to acknowledge that it clearly indicates my status as a boring old fart without enough of a life to keep me away from here I can't decide whether to simply drop out and move on elsewhere (but where, given the quality and cliquiness of other Albion boards?) or to re-register with a new name - I thought "JCL" had a nice ring to it as it is clearly such a popular term of endearment with fellow NSC'ers!
I recall we had an experiment some time ago with removing post counts and I thought at the time that was a bad idea but as I see my own total creeping inexorably upwards I am more than ready to change my view - I mean FFS, who on earth has so little else to do that they can accumulate that many posts on a football forum - and almost none of them of any value or with any point whatsoever!
Of course that is what NSC is for n'est ce pas? But what to do - just limp on and up in the thread count league, or call a time-out and reinvent myself?

We should encourage new fans. Already lost two generations of young seagulls to the likes of Chelsea and Man U while playing a shit standard of football with shit facilities at priestfied and withdean.
Let's not lose another. Enough of this snobbish JCL, Newbie shit. You were new once!!!!

At what point does one lose the JCL/Newbie label is there an official definition also is there a middle ground like being middle aged or do you go straight from Newbie to Old Fart?

Please keep posting crap its part of NSC, if it was just a list of facts its would soon become boring.

Ps My mums uncle overhead a lady on the bus who know's Gus's sisters dog saying Frank Riberry and Tevez will be signing anyone hear this rumour?

Pah - I'm not contemplating that just yet. Post schmost toast. A number is a number is a number, if you're bothered by it start again, Bozza will be happy to reset it. Otherwise I wouldn't worry.
