I've edited that for you. Hope that helps.

Obviously you have a better idea what the salaries for these players would be then so lets start with Chamakh who was on £93k per week at Arsenal.
Do you think he is at the Palace for less than £30k per week then?

I didn't say that I know, I said you don't and what you've written here confirms that. If anyone is on anything like approaching 30k per week, it would be Chamakh, due to his playing history, but most of the others will likely be on high end Championship wages, as that is what the team is. Maybe an extra couple of k in for good measure. It's best not to speculate and rest assured that the same Chairman that you think ripped people off is a good negotiator and knows how to balance the books, due to his history of running a successful business.

I think it ended up at about £17.5M in total if you add on the wages they'll be getting plus the wages for all staff already on the books it must be pretty close to the prize money from the Premier League for finishing in 20th. The only thing I can see they will save on is the win bonus.

17 is the figure Sky reported, so it'll be pretty accurate.

Most Champ players wages are raised when they get promoted - remember when it happened at Blackpool and their chairman couldn't believe how much extra it cost.

I'd chuckle if Dobbie ended up back here and if it was simply the case that he didn't get on with Gus then who knows?

I like the idea of selling Dobbie for £800k to the Nigels and then have him back here for free.

With Oscar's 'Work hard every day as an individual & team' policy, I can't see that..

Laughable to suggest Chamakh was on £93k per week. That is OBVIOUSLY not true.

I heard a great story on TalkSPORT the other day about Chamakh, on his way home with Arsenal from a European night that hadn't gone too well. Story came from Graham Hunter I think and went something like this.

After a game against Olympiakos (I think), in which he'd given one of the poorest performances I've seen from a striker, where he showed no touch, no interest, and no passion whatsoever, I saw him at the airport with the rest of the squad. He was going crazy, really animated, frantic, jumping up and down, screaming and shouting because ... he couldn't find his hair gel. Wenger gave him a look that just said "you will NEVER play for me again" and apart from the cup exit at Bradford, he didn't.

Garvan my man not Dobbie (who should of made the squad)

OK, but my question still stands - why buy Dobbie when he's not going to make the 25? Waste of money, no?

From what I have seen it was part of the agreement that we could not pull out of and we "bought" him in Jan but didn't hand over the cash till the window opened.

He helped us get promoted so in a sense you can argue it either way tbh. I feel for the lad.

I've heard he's on a basic salary with a BIG bonus payable if we stay up.
Probably between £30-40 k a week I should imagine.

So do you think this is the average figure being paid for the players signed in the window, somewhere between 30 - 40k per week?
Which you have to say is low for the prem and therefore good business by the board.

I would say the squad average is around £20k
The top earners last season were Murray and Speroni I believe, at around £12 k a week. ( Murray did sign a new deal near the end of the season, rumoured to be £20 k a week.
Chamakh I would imagine is the top earner.

Good to see the best footballer in the country make the Man Utd 25, oh he's not

Moyes gave him the chance to make the final cut but cannot have been impressed enough to consider him as a first teamer. Will be interest from numerous clubs in The Championship to take him on loan.

It is laughable that the one player responsible for getting Palace into the Prem, will most likely continue to play Championship football
