Juan Albion said:In what way does the pierced belly affect your skinniness ? Would you be fat if you were unpierced? And it doesn't look good, it looks stupid - to me, anyway.
Phaedrus said:What? By that logic wearing socks with sandals and a suit jacket with the sleeves rolled up is sexy. My girlfriend had her's pierced cos she wanted it pierced, not as a fashion statement.
ben andrews girlfriend said:i never said it does. i just said that it shows my skinniness!
you is talking the bullshit mate
Juan Albion said:
And if bellybutton piercing isn't a fashion statement, how come everyone is doing it at the same time?
Juan Albion said:WHAT? ? ? ? You cannot take a statement that says something ISN'T sexy and turn it round and say that that means something else IS sexy. That's completely illogical and, frankly, stupid!
And if bellybutton piercing isn't a fashion statement, how come everyone is doing it at the same time? Isn't that basically what 'fashion' means? It's the in-thing, and it means a whole bunch of people are following the trend like a flock of sheep. Except your girlfriend, of course, who woke up one morning and said, "I've had a brainwave, I think I'll make a hole in my bellybutton and stick some metal through it. I wonder why no-one else has thought of that..."

Juan Albion said:The piercing shows your skinniness? How?
Phaedrus said:Juan, I tried to give you another chance after your rant regarding my Passion Of The Christ posting (where you conveniently ignored my questions that you didn't have the answers to) but I have now concluded that in fact you are a prize tit.
CrabtreeBHA said:huh? belly button piercing has been doing the rounds for YEARS, my mates mum had one when she was 16 back in 1970something!
ben andrews girlfriend said:the piercing draws the eye to the belly, which happens to be skinny.
Juan Albion said:Absolutely. I never said it hasn't been around for a long time, did I? What I said was that it was now the in-thing.
ben andrews girlfriend said:the piercing draws the eye to the belly, which happens to be skinny.
Juan Albion said:If a belly is skinny and exposed, believe me - the eyes will be drawn with or without a piercing!
CrabtreeBHA said:yeah but its not now the in thing as when I was at school back in the early 90's the girls we're getting them done then and have been since and before so whys it suddenly now?!?
Juan Albion said:No-one said it was suddenly now the in-thing either. But it is now the in-thing.
I'm not aware that anyone other than yourself has said anything about how long it has been fashionable, which seems a completely irrelevant point.
ChapmansThe Saviour said:I take it you have never worn anything that you saw someone else wearing and thought, 'hmm that looks good i might get something like that' then?
