oh well each to their own
sex in a glass.
Well you've been very lucky then. I had probably 10 or so over the first 3 games and at least 4 of them were crap. One of them made 3 of us feel absolutely rotten for the second half.
Or for that matter, the washing-up.Says the man who does not drink beer or lager
Never had a Dark Star. what can I expect?
Really? Blimey, I feel lucky now.
I am with you Albumen. I have never had a duff pint. It clearly is never going to be the same as from a proper glass and pulled from a a barrel - but it is good quality.
I am not a Hophead fan myself - so hope the Dark Star does not impact on the Harveys.
I should say - I look forward to Dark Star doing their wider range (all being well). I would love Harveys to sell Old - but happy as Larry at the moment anyway.
How cool would that be. I suppose they're choosing the ales that are all year rounders to avoid changing the dispenders.
It is such a pleasure to be able to have a decent pint at the ground. To have a choice of two ? We are blessed.
Not forgetting the choice of the third 'away' ale, if you can fight your way into Dick's Departure Lounge.
Real Ale tastes awful, or is it just me?

No. Most think the same.
It tastes like thick, sour vomit to me, but then I'm a Harveys man.
I did have a pint of Dark Start APA in Peterborough though, which was nice.
I was talking solely about the ubiquitous Hophead, by the way. But I find a lot of their ales similarly unpleasant in a "fruity" way due to the American hops that they use. Don't mind the APA though and can see it gradually becoming more popular than Hophead. There are about 20 different dark star beers so to dismiss them all as thick sour vomit would be very wrong.
