attila Is there a plan to eventually be able to buy DS at the concourse main bars, rather than the mobile dispensers?

I this is a dreadful mistake on the part of Dark Star (and Harveys come to that but I dont really care about them); having your beer wheeled all about and then poured by someone who doesnt know anything about the product (how it should look, taste be kept etc). it does the brand a disservice that though dont deserve.

But if it's a bright pin it can be moved and drank straight away, from a tap rather than a pump. Is it not?

Do most here think real ale is an acquired taste that takes a while to get into?

I want to like it, I just don't.

The idea is for there to be both. As far as I was concerned we'd agreed to have both from the start of the season, and I registered my surprise when only Harvey's was listed on the vending display boards in the concourse bars. Fact is Harvey's were quicker off the mark (they have a much bigger operation - DS is a cottage industry which is having a hard job keeping up with its own success, everyone wants their beer!) but we should have both to stay now. It's great to have such different tasting beers as well - I'd recommend to the lager drinkers to try a pint of Hophead, many people i know who thought they didn't like real ale have changed their minds after tasting that :)

The beer is bright, therefore it can be wheeled about as much as necessary without losing flavour/getting sediment stirred up, and Dark Star have designed the dispensers to suit their product - they definitely know what they are doing...
