I really do wish him well but I think it's too late for that.
Do we give the Cup to Brazil in memory of the greatest footballer who ever lived? No, thought not.
Lucky to be old enough to have watched him on TV in Mexico 1970. Just in another class.

I really didn't care much who wins it (and let's face it, it won't be England), but I'd now love Brazil to win it.....for Pele, and hope he lasts long enough to see it happen.

Pele has cast a giant shadow across my life of football, he has always been my GOAT as he represented all that was good in football. The picture of Pele consoling Bobby Moore and swapping shirts at the final whistle in 1970 is truly iconic.

Gianna 'today I'm a Pele fan' Infantino has said every country should name a stadium after Pele. Indeed Cape Verde jumped straight in and named their national stadium the Pele Stadium.
So which stadium in England should be renamed and why?
