He said 5th "Best" player. So the play who is 5th in terms of ability and contribution. Vicente, Bruno, Kuszczak, Bridcutt are all better all round players. Sure, Buckley probaly has more monetary value but his contribution to the overall team is not going to be quite as impactful.

Of, and as for Vicente "not being worth anything"? Based on Starts:

Vicente: Starts: 11; Goals: 3 (3.6 games per goal); Assists: 9 (1.2 games per assist)
Zaha: Starts: 40; Goals: 9 (4.4 games per goal); Assists: 7 (5.7 games per assist)

I'd say his "worth" is pretty good...

We've made at least £3m from transfer fees and every penny is going back into Dougie's budget. He also had a decent budget to start with, and he's only spent half a million-ish so far. You keep spouting that we're skint, and yet all the evidence suggests otherwise.

That said, this is almost certainly bullshit. We've got Zaha who plays in a similar role, we have absolutely no need for Mr. Buckley, even if we did want to spend half our budget on one player.
