Good point. I also never celebrate any goals being scored until the end of the game. Just in case.
I think this is more celebrating a goal and giving the two finger salutes to the away fans before the penalty has even been taken.

So their squad is better than ours despite us being 7 points clear and us having to contend with the most days lost to injury of any team in the division?

Interesting logic there.

If we drew against Villa and lost at City, they win the buffet match at Southampton and beat us at home, that's them two points behind us.

That's why the gloating in this thread is so cringe.

Remember last year ?
I remember last year: We had a manager that seemed to give up trying in mid-March and left us playing out the last 10 league fixtures with an injury-hit squad that was unsuited to his stubbornly inflexible game plan.

This year we have (touch wood) players returning to full fitness for the run in and a manager that isn't afraid to admit he's got it wrong and ceremonially burn his tactics when that happens.

All football fans are the same.
Massively overvaluing their players whilst underrating opponents.

Palace fans will rate Doucoure, Hughes, Wharton, Lerma as better than Baleba, Hinshelwood, Gomez and Ayari.
We will think they are crazy, but the reality is, there really isn't a crazy amount of difference between the squads.

I think they have a better defence.
We have a better front line.

But we have better depth.
Not to mention the players we have out on loan are significantly better.

But ultimately it's about the 25ish in the Premier League squad, and we aren't as far ahead of them as I would like us to be.

Of course Palace are RUBBICH and their squad is a BUNCH OF BASTARDS but, like us, they've won 4 of their last 5 PL matches and have proceeded (with somewhat less opposition difficulty) to the FA Cup Round Of 8.

Sorry, I'd rather the gloating, when we can, and eat humble pie, if necessary

The difference between punctuating that run of wins with FAC wins against top-6 opposition and FAC wins against 2nd and 3rd tier opposition shouldn't be underestimated.

BHA fans here have stated that Forest's squad is better than ours. If Forest had had as many injuries as everyone else, I'm not confident they'd be that high in the table, so I think some BHA fans are being modest.

Palace can have a decent starting 11, but I'm not convinced their squad depth is that good. If you ranked teams a) by their first 11, and b) by their squad depth, I think we'd be ranked higher in b than a. Palace I'm not so sure about.

Palaces first choice 13 will give anyone a run for their money (as we found out) but their squad is a long way from being able to deal with injuries in the way ours has had to this season.

We will soon see. Mateta is presumably out for a while, so let's see how they cope without him. So far, they have won a home game thanks to a goal in the 83rd minute against relegation favourites, Ipswich.

Yeah I think I agree with you.
But the point I was making, is each set of fans are a lot more knowlegeable when it comes to assessing the depth of their own squad than they are at gauging the depth of another team.

There is no reason why a Palace fan should judge Hinshelwood or Ayari as being better players than Hughes or Doucoure. Or Baleba better than Wharton.

They would scoff at the idea of Van Hecke or Webster being as good as lacroix.
