[Albion] Palace Fans Biggest Fear

From reading BBC today I think Palace's biggest fear is similar to ours with both clubs having player's linked with summer moves.
Every year is a rebuild (not the main stand, just the squad)
We won’t be rebuilding this summer…….we might lose one, max two players we’d ideally like to keep (for huge sums) but squad depth now is such that we have ready replacements for most positions. We’ll still undoubtedly sign one or two prospects but it won’t be a rebuild

We'll invest in centre backs. We tried in Jan and I'm sure we'll do so again in the summer.

Rumours of bids coming in for Guehi, Wharton and Mateta. I can't imagine they will sell all 3 as that's the spine ripped out. I can see Guehi going and maybe Mateta but think they'll want a full season out of Wharton before he leaves. Either way, they will have plenty of money to invest (or use for the stand) for next season.

Unfortunately they have a good solid 11 at the moment, whether they can continue to win majority of games for the remainder of the season with basically a squad of 13 remains to be seen.

Yep probably need at least one, but not a ‘rebuild’, just a bit of targeted recruitment

Not sure about centre backs, we've already signed Cashin and he's not getting a look in.

Unless there are departures (possibly Igor to go?) or it's one for the future that's happy to join Cashin on the bench or be loaned out.

I remember last year: We had a manager that seemed to give up trying in mid-March and left us playing out the last 10 league fixtures with an injury-hit squad that was unsuited to his stubbornly inflexible game plan.

This year we have (touch wood) players returning to full fitness for the run in and a manager that isn't afraid to admit he's got it wrong and ceremonially burn his tactics when that happens.
This - Palace snuck above us on the last day because we had a manager who completely mentally checked out for 2 months. He had enough credit in the bank due to getting us into Europe and the European adventure that I think people let RDZ off a little easily here.

We were f***ing dreadful from late Feb onwards basically. W2 D4 L8.

Can't see Pilarse doing that this year, they're on form, no doubt, as are we. We've got enough in the bank to get over the line and claim a Europa League place.

They could easily do it. They are playing every bit as well as we are.
Our run in is slightly easier, but that matters very little at this time of the season.

If we lose at Selhurst, I expect them to finish above us.

Injuries to a light squad didn’t help

They didn't, but our form absolutely fell off a cliff around and after Roma. When this happened, to me it seemed De Zerbi was pretty stubborn and inflexible tactically, teams had figured out how to play us pretty easily at the time and RDZ looked and seemed totally checked out.

Bit unprofessional, IMO.

This thread is for the gentle mockery of Palace* , you are killing the vibe.

* Usually just Loz this season for some reason.
