Oh yeah, my mistakeThink they were using “across the board” as an expression to mean “everyone involved in the decision making process”. Not the actual Board of Directors.
The whole story is strange. If it was a hamstring, as they say it was, the idea of playing 3 days later is preposterous. If it was something else, and the medical team said he was OK to play but not for 90 minutes, why say it was a hamstring?Hodgson lying to try and save his job - says that the medical team said Olise couldn't play the first half, but could play the second half. WTF is that? That's not a thing.
Palace were totally outclassed in the first half, and at 3-0 down they were not going to get any points, with or without Olise. Bringing him on was a brain dead decision by a man who's out of his depth. One of his excuses was supposedly that you don't bring someone of Olise's quality to a game and not play him. More BS from a man who used to be able to manage, but is turning into Nathan Jones.
I’m sorry if this offends anyone but we didn’t smash Palace, this wasn’t a legendary performance to kill the disappointment of Luton.
I've said the same thing, with Estupinan as an example. But the medical team did not say he could only play the second half and not the first.Disagree with most here on the Olise thing.
A player being able to play a part of the game, certainly is a thing.
Moder being the most obvious example of a player we've got who the manager has gone on record and said he can only play a certain number of minutes
We didn't want Fati out there for 45 minutes, he came on for a run with the game over. He didn't have to bust a gut. Olise was asked to play the second half and he had to sprint full speed. Bringing Olise on was a stupid decision.. But there are countless other recent BHA examples of us managing players minutes while they recover from injury. Fati wasn't fit to start, but he was fit to come on for a few minutes.
We played better than OK in the first half. They hardly touched the ball for 45 minutes except to pick it out of the net 3 times. Admittedly we got sloppy in the second-half.What a day out ….
The songs, the atmosphere and the way it played out.

We played OK against a very poor Palace side.
It really is astonishing, the delusional high opinion their fans hold of themselves.
But if it was a hamstring, as they say, it's pretty much impossible to play 3 or 4 days later. It's a multi-week recovery. I had a hamstring "tweak" (not a tear) playing Sunday League football in my mid-twenties and I could still feel the damned thing 6 months later.Disagree with most here on the Olise thing.

There isn't some magical cut off point between injured and fit. We're talking about degrees of risk. Sometimes you'll get away with it sometimes not.
That all said. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
I think the point is that you could have a year where all teams are good, and 3 teams are a bit unlucky to go down as the competition is so good. Other times, you could be really shit, but stay up because other clubs have imploded. Liverpool were brilliant a few years back, but finished second because City were even better. Teams worse than that Liverpool side have won the league easily.i really dont understand this oft repeated line of "3 teams worse than them" bollox. Its a league, the whole premise of the league is to be better than other teams. Other than financial doping the only reason man city won so many titles is that 19 other teams were worse than them. The only reasom we are in Europe is that 14 other teams were worse than us.
It doesnt really make sense to use that as a reason they are still in the Prem, its the reason EVERY team is still in the Prem. Thery are in the Prem because they are a lower mid table team, with enough cash to stay there, but not enough vision , planning ability or ambition to go any higher
Without the plonkers, there is never much noise. I normally watch their games with the volume down because the droning noise gets on my tits. A few games ago, I turned it up because it was okay - turns out that was the game that they were locked out of their cupboard so they they went mute in protest. The non plonkers did not take up the slack at all. Similar to the 5-0 up The Arse when the drum got confiscated.Considering their end was half empty going into the 40th minute and the silence from the north was only breached once for Mateta's goal (and barely at that given that there were only about 10 fans left), the fact that they see themselves as "the best fans in the league" really is a laugh.
When the team needed them, they vanished.
Well if that was the case, he shouldn't have been on the bench, fair enough. But if it was a hamstring, as they say, it's pretty much impossible to play 3 or 4 days later. It's a multi-week recovery. Are you sure? The noses, i'm imagining a problem with the noses. Can I just say that I have a few friends in common with parish's daughters and they are really nice. And FIT.
Not everything palace is shite
Well we don't actually know what advice was given by the medical team, we've got Hodgson's comments which judging by the pressure on his job, may be true or not true.I've said the same thing, with Estupinan as an example. But the medical team did not say he could only play the second half and not the first.

And no matter how attractive, if they are wearing red and blue stripes at the time I really don't think there's enough Viagra in the world to get me to where I would need to be
Lol this is a bit wrong !! The pic is about 10 years old
and the 30 points Chelsea deduction.
OK, perfectly attractive fair enough. But the idea of prison food has never appealed to me, so I think this is a conversation which can be ended right here
