[Albion] Palace Fans Biggest Fear

Palace have 3 things going for them for the rest of the season.

1. There are a couple of teams (Sheff Utd & Burnley) who just don’t have enough points to catch Palace, no matter how badly Palace play. They could lose almost every match they have left and still finish above those northern losers.

2. FFP/PRS will surely deduct 10 points from Everton and Forest, plunging them into the bottom three.

3. Whatever criticisms you throw at Palace, you can not deny that they are one of the luckiest and spawniest teams around. They should have been relegated many times in the last 10 years but somehow contrive to escape. Normally it’s the form of Zaha that saves them but this time, external circumstances will come to their rescue.

I would disagree with the luck element.
They have consistently overpaid to keep enough players to keep them up.

Being better than the worst 4 or 5 teams has been achieved with a lot of knee-jerk decisions and over-spend.
The only luck they've had is the relatively small number of injuries Zaha had over 9 seasons.

Agree with all of this. They tend to just stay up by there being at least 3 teams even worse than they are. And they always seem to have a player who’s worth 10-15 points a season. Previously Zaha, now Olise. He’s gained them a few points on his own up to now this season.

All this piss taking of palace, you know what happens next. Also with those players still at fkin afcon and whatever else there is, they could easily turn us over.
Anyone can turn anyone over, that’s the beauty of the league. Us at Luton was a prime example. Doesn’t mean they are better than we are

What a day out ….

The songs, the atmosphere and the way it played out.

I’m sorry if this offends anyone but we didn’t smash Palace, this wasn’t a legendary performance to kill the disappointment of Luton.

We played OK against a very poor Palace side.

Disagree with most here on the Olise thing.

A player being able to play a part of the game, certainly is a thing.

Moder being the most obvious example of a player we've got who the manager has gone on record and said he can only play a certain number of minutes. But there are countless other recent BHA examples of us managing players minutes while they recover from injury. Fati wasn't fit to start, but he was fit to come on for a few minutes.

There isn't some magical cut off point between injured and fit. We're talking about degrees of risk. Sometimes you'll get away with it sometimes not.

That all said. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Not IMO - the board shouldn't be any part of the decision to play him. Medical team and Olise should decide if he's able t play any part, and his condition should be discussed with the manager. Once he was on the bench it's down to the manager whether it's worth the risk or not. Once it was 3-0 down, Olise could have said no, but that's a good look from a player when earlier they would have said yes, I feel I can do 45 minutes.

Think they were using “across the board” as an expression to mean “everyone involved in the decision making process”. Not the actual Board of Directors.

Not been on since Saturday morning for some reason. I just can't think why? 🤔

In the field
what a difference between Brighton and Palace. Away drubbing for both teams, Brighton fans dissapointed, stay to the end to show their support, players go and applaud them
Palace fans dissapointed, leave at half time, those that remain shout and swear at the players who went over, and swear and argue back

Quite simply a different class

That's a slightly unfair comparison, IMO. I absolutely don't think our fans/players would have reacted in the same way as Palace's on Saturday, however our game versus Luton wasn't a derby match. If it had been against Palace, there might have been a bit more anger from our fans!

Peeps you can't have it both ways.

You can't moan like drains because Dougie etc al are here and getting right on your tits.
Then carry on like pork chops when they run away and hide.

I think it just highlights how this particular troll works more than anything else.
The only surprise for me was that he didn't appear with his usual glib one liner or emoji after last Tuesday.
The others are fine as they take the rough with the smooth.
