They still haven’t grasped that staying up requires more than 11 premier league quality players. Players can get injured or banned so you need a squad, which appears to be an alien concept to the chaps up the road. This being very strange considering a number of their players are injured.
Oh my heart pumps purple piss.

In fairness this will be their 9th season in the Premier League, they've certainly learned how to snide their way to safety over the years.

That said, the planning for this campaign has clearly been an unmitigated disaster. They've known since last year that Roy wouldn't be carrying on, yet did nothing to sort a replacement for when he shuffled off to his nursing home. Much like Spurs, they've ended up with about their 8th choice manager (pretty much by default, as nobody else would touch them with a shitty stick).

As for the squad, they let half of them run into the final year of their contracts, so they've been losing proven PL experience left, right and centre for nuffin, whilst plugging gaps with 2nd division players who's never kicked a ball in the PL. The SEGW is clearly now sick of the sight of the place, Benteke had his little goal-rush to con another contract out of them so can now settle back into his usual routine, and their best young player Eze won't be seen this side of Christmas.

They'll still snide it, they always do. But it won't be pretty.

Nice to see how much you are gloating at the moment

Will you be cheering us to get something against the Hammers on Saturday, and then a draw between Liverpool and Chelsea will give you top spot for two weeks

(I am assuming that a win over Everton is a given now seeing how well you have started the season)

I think that you're right that they'll snide it again. If you look at their fixture difficulty: https://experimental361.com/2021/08/05/fixture-difficulty-matrices-5-aug-2021/, things are fairly brutal between now and the beginning of November. If Vieira doesn't start them winning games soon there is every chance of this being a repeat of Frank de Boer's tenure. That of course led to the appointment of Roy Hodgson. An early exit for Vieira and another volte face on the development plan could see the return of Allardyce. It would be expensive for them, but if he arrives this side of Christmas, he'd keep them up.

Don’t be so daft Dan!

Our Champions League position rivals are ALWAYS welcome to take 3 points off you and no doubt, West Ham will take that and more this weekend, (the more bit being any hope you had for not being in a relegation scrap for the majority of this season).

Either that or they'll coax poor old Roy back out of his bath chair, change his pads, wipe the drool from his chin, put him in a tracksuit and send him back out onto their rat-infested training ground.

Football fans can get carried away sometimes. I'm sure Palace are too worldly-wise to gloat at any poor results for Brighton.
However if you cast your eyes back over this thread, you may recall some of your own, being overly optimistic about your chances this season and ignoring the massive job PV has on his hands.

I think you know us well enough by now.
All we're hoping for is that this is the season the wheels finally come off for you.
I doubt it will go totally tits up for you, but it's a decent start so far.

For now I'm taking it one game at a time.
Come on you Irons!

Ahem, that's "the council's rat-infested training ground that Palace have borrowed on a LONG LEASE".

The poor old devil would be wondering where all of his players had gone.... "I'll pick Andros... Not here you say?.... Then Patrick... Him too? ... We'll need Gary. ... Blimey, have we got anyone left? .... Zaha? Oh good. I'll just pick him and ten cones. It's never failed before."

How dare us gloat on our board.

The audacity of us.

It's just such a shame, other than the odd one or two, we're only gloating to each other.

Still palace being palace means they'll be scurrying back in a couple of months, when we're back to something that resembles normality.

I always think the time they go into hiding ought to be added onto the time when they have cowardly reappeared when they're on the up.

Might be quite a while this time!!

Yes exactly. For example Dougie was last online on 18/08/21 @ 15:06 just to stir the hornets nest and then disappeared 2 minutes later to not log on again since.
The actions of a cowardly and persistent troll who is constantly tolerated on here by the moderators for some strange reason.

TBH I don't really have a problem with persistent trolling it's the fact it's not persistent.

NSC is basically an online pub, we can and are almost encouraged to relax and talk shite.
We've all had 'im gonna get pelters tonight' moments, we put our big boy pants on, suck it up and move on.

As this stands the palace trolls get all the 'fun' with no consequences or ever having to get changed!

Hahahahahhaa don’t be a **** your whole life Dan - you can’t still jump ship if you’re one of the 10,000 that appeared once you got to the premier league (in the most fortunate of circumstances)… Charlton are a nice club - if you can let the ‘sarf London’ wannabe attitude go. And don’t wear the black uniform - it will be laughed at Dan. And no more ‘woooooooah’ ing… go down to the Valley Dan.
