Palace - Don't sign petition, I hope they go bust

f***'s sake. I'll admit I was in the "Sadly for the sake of football it will be better if Palace go bust" camp, however I'm not made of stone and I'll admit to feeling a sliver of relief when I heard that, as expected, a deal had been reached. However reading all the SHIT that the Palace fans have posted on here today that feeling has evaporated. Yesterday was not a good day for football and was, once again, a victory for crooks, shysters and speculators. Once again a big club has survived whereas a smaller one would have paid the correct penalty. Any Palace fans disagree? Then f*** off back to your own board where you'll be in the company of people who don't give a shit about us and a fair few who wanted us to go bust. If you want to stay on here then treat us with respect (especially those who were addle-brained enough to sign your stupid, pointless petition), don't insult our intelligence and don't EVER compare how we dealt with our problems to the way that you dealt with yours.

You've just hit the nail on the head. Kind of you to admit it

Let's be honest, if you were about to take over a business who were in administration, would you pay back the creditors more because you have empathy for their situation? Even if the consortium had offered 10p in the £1, you'd still be slagging us off.

I've said it before, all the unsecured creditors who are set to lose out deserve a lot of sympathy because it's not right. But you can't tell me you'd spend let's say £2 million more on a business if a CVA is agreed at 1p in the £1?

Bhaexpress, there have been countless times Brighton supporters have taken buckets to away games to get donations off other clubs. You were a charity case purely because you had no other option Yesterday we were merely asking some of you to sign a petition which takes 10 second to help secure our future. Hardly a huge inconvenience is it? And yes I would consider us a charity case by asking for help

Croydon resident? Nah, I'm a five minute walk around the corner from Mr hans kraay fan club. I've probably even seen him working at a checkout in our local asda :lolol:

Yes, I bet he always buys his Big Issue from you though :lolol:

Just because your chairman has more money than sense to afford to pay off someone elses debt makes your point invalid.
You've had Goldberg and Jordan as chairmen in recent times and yet you contend that BHA's chairman has more money than sense!!!!:lolol: Britain's Got Talent next for you SCE.
What debts is/has TB actually paid off?
Sure, he's loaned the club money in the past, just like a bank or a hedge fund (sorry), but that's been exchanged for shares/stock as was always the plan - check the Companies House records for the convertible loan notes if you don't believe me.
The Bloom family have been major shareholders in BHA for decades and were always going to provide financial support for the stadium - but again it's a loan, repayable in 2025 either in cash or shares in the Stadium Company but no doubt currently secured against the stadium itself.

The St Johns Ambulance service was mentioned earlier in this thread. Palace fans chipped in & paid that debt in full. Not bad for a bunch of pikeys.

Perhaps you could now have a collection for the £2M or so that CPFC owe to HMRC (ie the taxpayer) - you know, the money that was never the club's to spend anyway and that they could have paid off pre-administration but chose not to. I'm sure "Dull and Duller" can find something to spend it on - x29 JSA's or equivalents perhaps?

The truth is the majority of you wanted us gone and the same would have been true if the situation had been reversed.

Complete Bollocks.

There was a thread/Poll on here recently asking how many BHA fans actually wanted Palace to go bust.

Percentage wise it was VERY small.

Indeed but by the same token more than a few clubs have done the same here. I remember being on a train to a match at Carlisle where we had a whip round for the farmers up there because of the Foot and Mouth outbreak that was on at the time. We don't make a big thing of it and it's your fans that brought the issue up anyway.

The thing that you just don't get is that WE HAVE NEVER SHORT CHANGED ANY CREDITOR. Do you honestly believe that you would be in the Championship if you had done what we have, lived within our means ? Remember, you have been in Administration TWICE, we never have. Don't make a big thing about Tony Bloom either., you just wish that Goldberg and Jordon were as good as him which clearly they weren't.

Of course we are very grateful to Tony Bloom as well we might be, however we are not owned by a Sheik or a Russian 'Businessman' we, like you were, are effectively owned by a fan. It's just that our benefactor is a lot smarter than yours. I feel sorry for both Goldberg and Jordon who both pumped a lot of their own money into your club and all they get now is abuse.

Well there's no point in denying it, compared to the clubs that have gone bust in recent years, in fact maybe since the beginning of professional football, you ARE a big club. Huge in fact. If you put the clubs on the verge of folding this season in order of 'bigness' it would probably go: Portsmouth, Palace, Cardiff, Southend, Chester. Guess which was the only one to actually fold?

No surprise whatsoever that Palace survived - lets be honest, they were never in real danger. I for one am glad they did - supporting The Albion wouldnt be the same without the old enemy !!!

Surely the more interesting question is where do they go from here ???

I have read a few of the contributions on here, a few comments from thoughtful posters as well but as a long time Palace fan with memories of Jess Willard Johnny Mcnicholl and Charlie Chase etc I have never understood this rivalry! How can teams be rivals if they do not play against each other?

Palaces true rivals are Millwall.

Good luck for next season and I hope that your new ground will bring a change in your fortunes.

Yes, but we got coined by their fans at the end of the game.

Got quite nasty in the town afterwards I seem to recall.

Ungrateful buggers.
