Isn't it just.

to be fair i agree with you completely. Its cool to support a small / locals club. Albion and palace are strange one's as they are both float between middle sized and small clubs. Your away support is shocking tho' which genuinely is a surprise. It didnt used to be that bad

Palace memories should be of some top toe to toe, generals commanding the troops, capturing and planting the flag in enemy turf and boozers, knuckledusters, outmanoevring the OB, naughty boys being naughty but still observing the rules (no scarfers, no birds, no kids getting in the line of fire), CS gas cans through pub windows, comparing breaks and bruises in A&E, lager and black by the gallon, running the oppo.

And you bunch of trainspotters are comparing attendances, it's no wonder that the likes of Peacehaven Pete, Scratchcard, Uncle Morty, Big Vern and Size Five went into retirement. It makes me embarrassed at times to ever have had a banning order.

That's bollocks.Perhaps your to young to remember but i recall about 15 years ago, you took 50 fans YES 50 to Hartlepool for the 3rd round which you lost 1-0.Face facts your away support has been toilet for years.

I was there, just like I was at Sheffield yesterday. Hartlepool away on a freezing cold miserable night was a blast, & I think you've overstated our away support, it was more in the region of 42 of us!

The FA Cup does not really hold any attraction to a top end Championship team like ourselves but it helps lower league clubs, like yourselves, escape from the monotony & dirge of losing week in week out.

Your away support is commendable but you should really get your house in order when you take more away than you have at home. Your shiney new legoland stadium's going to have the atmosphere of a morgue unless you can get people in. The worry for any club with a new stadium is that the novelty wears off. Teams like Southampton were rampant at The Dell but their first season in St Marys was shockingly poor.

400 to Swansea in the league and 400 to Shef W in the cup.

From what I can see Jamie, you don't even go & watch your team play so don't try & paint yourself as a fan, you're as fake as the other 500,000 in Brighton who can't be arsed to follow their team home or away.

to be fair mate you have a point. the days of me going most weeks are over. Once a month home or away is the most I do. Lucky we have a good away following that makes up for the likes of me

The owners of the ground (rock investments I think) are in administration. The administrators are pricewaterhousecooper.the club are discussing a new deal with them .Things are moving behind the scenes and reliable sources on the BBs are confident of new owners /investors,whether it is before admin. or not is a mute point. So dont get to excited our club will be around for some time.

Can any of the Palace fans put the link on here to the new owners/investors that 26-10-02 refers to.
I can only see the thread where there is a lot of hope of David Gold buying out Jordon.

You sure about that doug?
I seem to recall Croydon going up against Sunderland for city status some years ago.
You can't have a city within a city though.

Croydon applied a couple of times, I believe you are both correct, but that is just off the top of my head, and I can't be arsed to look for a source.
