My own personal view which has nothing to do with my allegiance to the 'Albion'

Croydon centre and some areas such as East Croydon, Waddon, Thornton Heath, Addiscombe. New Addington, Shrublands and Coney Hall are the pits. Other areas such as Shirlrey, Wickham, ParkHill and Purley are far nicer places than most of the estates in Brighton.

I wouldn't move back to Brighton, its too hilly, houses are two small, full of bohemains and gays. The only link I have now is the football club.

Having lived in the likes of Preston park (which is nice) and Hollingdean I know where I would prefer to be. Actually looked to move back twice about 10 and 6 byears ago. Both times very disappointed about the standard of the housing.

I had a great time growing up in Brighton but ion the occasion I visit I am more than glad to return to Shirley.

Oh, talking about drugs some of my family live in the Bromley area, none of the younger ones bother with Croydon because of all the drug related crime there, go figure.

I would rather live in Coulsdon, Purley or Shirley or even Carshalton than I would Brighton but as a born and bred Thornton Heath man I wouldn`t live there for any other reason than desperation these days. Croydon has some lovely areas as well as Brighton has. Isn`t all this all a little silly anyway and has nothing to do with football or our rivalry at all.
