This is good news, he showed flashes of skill but has been a passenger for over a year.

We need players who are up for it, he simply isn't.

We have seen some excellent cameos - who could forget that goal against Blackpool last year. But we have March coming through for that role - and I am sure everyone would prefer to see Solly.

Showed his class last season but like Lopez and Buckley, is looking like a pale imitation of that player. Seems to have become weaker in the tackle since his injury and the silky passes are at a premium. I wish him all the best but I'm not sad to see him go. He'll be one of our bigger earners and this budget can be spent on a decent replacement.

Whilst he may well be a very skilful player when on song he has no pace and is injury prone.

Remember next season we should have a powerful midfield trio of Ince, Stephens and Crofts.

Unfortunately it seems we don't have the budget to pay wages for players that spend a lot of time injured. Wouldn't be surprised if Buckley was next, free up some wages and possibly funds for the new manager

One player, who is crocked, and out of contract, and you come up with that assumption. Well done.

Was it Twineham Grange who were knocking out that hard cheese called something like: "I can't believe it's not Parmesan"? If so, then I tried some once and I completely believed it wasn't parmesan. Anyway, what do the Spanish know about risotto? Nothing, that's what. Incidentally I'm making one tonight Tiny, courgette risotto as it goes. Which will include plenty of peas and parmesan. But they are not in the title. So, your post is 100% spot on. I thank you.

Good luck - a decent risotto requires a lot of patience. Peas are great in a risotto. I think Orlandi has Italian parents, so the love of risotto may well spring from there. Twineham Grange doesn't have a great depth of flavour, but it's not too bad. As you say, you would believe it wasn't parmesan. I think this twist in the thread to a more risotto-based discussion is definitely the way forward.....

Which club would have the money just to pay players to sit on the sidelines injured. We have too many doing this for the last couple of years namely Orlandi, Buckley, Lua Lua, Bruno and Hoskins. Bearing in mind most are attacking players it's easy to see why we struggle to have a lot of cohesion going forward at times. Would love to know how bad these injuries are (Hoskins apart) or whether a lot of it is in the head. Get shot and get some fit players in who want to play.

You forgot Crofts, CMS and Ulloa

My friend knows him reasonably well. Even a few months ago, Orlandi was apparently pessimistic about the possibility of staying as he felt the club would be going down the younger (cheaper) route in the summer.

I think those three and JFC are the basis of a great midfield.

Although without Orlandi or Lopez, it would be nice if we could add someone who was a bit more creative in the middle of the park.
