Oooh, lets see if we can sort that one out shall we!

1) did a national newspaper in Holland/Belgium investigate FIFA and try to corrupt members?
2) did any of the Holland/Belgium delegation try to diss any of the others, and then be forced to resign?
3) was there any hooliganism in Holland/Belgium recently?

Did Holland/Belgium get anywhere with their bid?

No. So I think that argument kind of fails.

I predicted this outcome a couple of days ago.

Our media now have a war on their hands. FIFA have produced the ULTIMATE snub by knocking us out in Round 1 and our press have a national duty, nay OBLIGATION to go higher, further and deeper in their rooting out of corruption at FIFA, UEFA and the rest of those wankers.

Yep. Qatar got 11 votes in the first round, 10 in the second and 11 again in the third... wierd.

More to do with the Australia getting 1 vote while Korea who recently hosted got a lot more

So the games a foot!

I hope the press go after them like a shoal of pirahnas.

How much has this bid cost the FA/Taxpayer ? The money could have gone on developing talent so we could try and win the thing. I wanted us to bid and get it but ultimately corruption won - Blatter effectively said do not vote for England. The comments about Spain and Russia that were exposed earlier in the year may have had substance to them.

Next opportunity spend nothing on the bid - just divide the cash in 23 Brown envelopes.

Is it possible that the Eurovision Song Contest voting system is more objective than FIFA's?

As far as we are concerned about the same, bottom in each.

Spot on, they were right in their actions anyway and the response proves why football people should not be allowed to comment on actual issues.
Neither winning country is democratic or has a free press. I know where I'd rather be sitting.

I like the fact that in the 1st round there were four people that thought Holland was the best bid, but in the 2nd round they only got two votes as two of them backed the russians instead. Was this the point Abramovich's funds cleared into their accounts?

£15 million

Tactical voting. It means that two who actually wanted Russia or Spain, voted instead for Holland in round 1, to see a potential threat in England eliminated early. Then, once we were out of the running, they switched their vote. That's how it works.
