West is BEST
One and a half.

I saw Slayer at Primavera a few years ago and then I've kind of seen Sepultura - it was a Soulfly gig but Igor Cavalera showed up to play Roots Bloody Roots which was amazing.
Saw Soulfy twice . Weirdly at Concorde 2. It was absolute f***ing chaos. There was no mosh pit. The entire venue was the pit. I stayed back and still got thrown about.

I was probably at that gig - always make sure to go see them when they're in town

As also a non headbanger (sorry HT) my total is also 0, but I'm delighted to see GWAR on the list as I'm friends with someone who used to make their costumes.
There's an excellent documentary called, aptly enough, This Is Gwar that's well worth a watch even if the music isn't your cup of tea.

I had a teenage flirtation with metal and have seen ten of those. It would be thirteen, but our coach to Donnington broke down and we missed Y&T, Accept and Motley Crue. The only one I've seen more than once is Nirvana. I saw Kiss on their tour without make up. This was disappointing enough, but all of my mates were more excited about the support act, playing their first UK show, and I was thinking that if Bon Jovi were going to be the future of the genre, I needed to broaden my horizons. I added Peel to the Friday Rock Show shortly afterwards and the endless variety on offer eventually took over.

Four - Budgie, Hawkwind, Jethro Tull and Golden Earring, I’m not really a headbanger.
I’m surprised Alice Cooper is not on the list given its random nature. Oops I see it is Five then!
Make that 7 add Deep Purple and Rainbow. I need my glasses!!

aw that the other day. Lo
Motörhead’s rider back in the day.

Saw that the other day. Love how the chocolate request stipulates no hersheys. respect.

Just seven although two of those were on the same billing. Back in ancient times on Hastings Pier, Motorhead were the support for Hawkwind. So Lemmy's band supporting the band that had previously booted him out.

A disappointing 1 - 'tallica.

I was side stage and Lars' bass drum was WAY down in the mix. He was struggling tbh.

Such a great list. Sadly missed out on Free and Zeppelin due to timing, would like to see Journey and Foreigner the new singers are great otherwise have seen most of the bands I have wanted to see on that list.

Been lucky to have seen a fair few big acts in small shows including Metallica (100 Club/Marquee), Ozzy (marquee), Kiss (marquee), GnR (Wardour St marquee), Maiden (Queen Mary's College).

Just the one: Thin Lizzy - Brighton Dome on the Jailbreak tour (either 76 or 77, not sure). Four rows from the front, regularly dazzled by Lynott's mirror bass. Awesome.

Thin Lizzy were one of the ones I saw too. Fantastic band. One of the few on the list (+ Bon Scott era AC/DC, ZZ Top) that I still listen to regularly now.
