Reading this thread and seeing all the names it's become apparent that nearly all the most erudite, intelligent and balanced posters on NSC are over forty, and the very best are over fifty. I wonder why that is?

We're too old to walk to the Offy probably.

Class of October 55 sandwiched between Steve Ovett and Ian Botham.
Am I an old git?
Well Tomo thinks I look older than Botham and has never heard of Ovett!
I haven't had Botham's lifestyle and still look older than him so not just an old git but a miserable one at that! First game I think was Grimsby at home 6-4 to us in the era when we normally scored 9!

I guess it was the Pat Saward era for me..........the Napier's, Templeman, Spearritt, Bromley, Powney, Irvine etc.............trouble is I still feel and act like I am 12!..........just ask my wife (who is a cracker by the way if I say so myself).

Well im 15 and Imo were all supporting one team at the end of the day so it shouldn't matter what age , colour skin or anything else you have but try and sing up at away games please if you can handle it

Cheers lad. As I said, it's not at the football that there's an age divide but in everyday life. Sad i think as there's lots of young minded oldies and i bet there's quite a few youngsters who could learn a thing or two from us old gits.
