Ok, how big IS Falmer?

The point about all this is not that Falmer won't be well served by trains. It will be. The point is that the railway will be used to its maximum capacity to serve a 22,500 seater stadium. But the train service to Falmer will never be a factor that will contribute to a case for making the stadium bigger.

The other issue we can't ignore is that there will be lots of people using the railway who won't be going to a football match. They won't want to have to suspend their travel plans just because the Albion are playing at home.

I'm sure the club originally stated that 30,000 would be accomodated for concerts though? What happened to that? I hope we'll be able to have more than one concert per year when they realise that's it's not going to destroy the village.

Well, I wouldnt go that far. It seems to me all potential sites would just have different restrictions, most of which would not permit even 22,500 capacity. In all probability, 22,500 is pretty much the max we would have got anywhere

Probably true, as part of the pitch can be used as a standing area.

With that sort of post match entertainment I'd be willing to walk back to the city centre.

So if the maximum capacity of Falmer stadium for each game is 3,500 passengers, I just assume the club would have to lay on shuttle buses?

Coming from Haywards Heath I wouldn't mind getting the train to Lewes and getting a bus to take me to the stadium.

I would like to think in the future things will change as 22k is far to small,also i think far to many on here are underestimating the potential of us big time
