I'm going to sound like a right 'super ego' the only Park Run in October I can do is the 21/10 and I'd need to ideally run Preston Park. At a push Hove Prom or Park but would have to leave immediately.

No Wetherspoon's afterwards? Be good if Ninja Elephant takes on the challenge but may not fit into his training plan. Come on we want the race off.

Sorry if I hijacked that a little. knocky1 asked for a speedy race and I suggested the slowest possible course so feel free to ignore me!

But if there is another NSC Parkrun I'm in (not that there are many of you I could actually race). Pretty much all dates and locations are fine by me.

I'll be struggling to finish near your time but will be working hard over the next 5 weeks. This is a NSC challenge!

Continued with the taper today (how nice is it when 13 miles feels like a rest?!) 21.5km in 2 hours and a negative split so feeling good with two weeks to go.

I've not been on this thread for a while as I have been moving house. I've moved to Hull, which is not that great when it comes to running as it's pancake flat and they're no hills for miles for me to do hill reps on.
Anyway I ran the GNR yesterday in a new PB 1:34:35.
I feel I definitely could have run quicker as I had to stop twice at 4 and 8 miles due to having something in my shoe/sock, which was irritating my right foot.
Schoolboy error, I know but it really made it difficult to get back to pace again, after a couple of miles my pace settled again though.
Even though I got a new PB I'm a bit disappointed as I think I could have done a bit better. I think I'm going to look for another HM around October to see if I can better my time again.

Littlehampton 10k for me yesterday and a new PB of 49.31  . I can see some others had great times as well, I thought it was almost perfect running weather, even the slight head wind for the last 1.5km on the seafront was OK.

Ran for Team Essie as one of the people in our local running group works with Essies Dad. She sadly passed away a few ago after being cared for at the Chestnut Tree Childrens Hospice. 119 of us ran as Team Essie and so far just under £15k raised.

Fantastic efforts from all you racers yesterday. No parkrun, but I had a early 16-miler to Worthing and back yesterday, which was pretty hard going at times. Pace on my Garmin was all over the shop at times, but averaged 8:21min/miles in the end – ahead of the planned 8:30, which was nice. Faded a bit in the last few miles, but that's me all over. I wanted to test myself on the roads over a long distance – it's been a while – with one eye on Brighton Marathon and the quest for a sub-4. Need to put a bit of work in to make sure that will happen (I usually fade badly), but at least I have a good start and was concentrating a lot more on technique yesterday.

As for Bevendean, I'm up for that. It's the only one of the 'local' ones I haven't officially done, so bring it on. Might not be able to hang around for breakfast afterwards, but we'll see.

Good run yesterday despite the setbacks. Sorry to hear you're in Hull. Who's going to pace me at Hasting's Parkrun next summer?

Still it's 'Never Dull in Hull' City of Culture. You'll have to drive up to Bridlington to get out along the cliffs

I'm hoping to get some miles in again today which will be 3 days consecutive running, which is pretty rare for me.

I'm flying out to Hong Kong tonight and come back Tuesday morning. I'm taking my running gear but it's 30+ degrees and a lads trip, so not expecting many if any runs.

Can anyone recommend decent running routes? I've researched two but most seem to be based on HK island and I'm staying in Kowloon.

The hotel has a treadmill as a back up.

Bloody Worthing!
Worthing parkrun. Perfect conditions - 21.00 (77.7% AG). Pleased with this as I'm not doing any speed sessions in training - just trying to clock up c.35 mile weeks. 18 miles along prom planned for tomorrow..................................

Strange parkrun today. Watch timed it at 21:32 but official time is 21:01. Obviously I ran the quicker time but hard to understand how my Garmin can be so far out.
