Page 4 we've slipped to. Good weather and World Cup. I see from Strava a fair few miles are being put in despite the heat.

Just had a look at my June tally and shocked to see a Parkrun, 2 weakest link relay legs and a 5k from a Sprint Tri.
9.3 miles giving me a 2.3 miles a week average! Always been lazy on getting in the legwork.

So the Phoenix will have to be a fun run although I have a strong feeling we will be kicking off our semi final against Russia at the same time and expect a 100% NSC Boycott of the 10k!

A belated table update due to BT getting there cables in a twist. Only Herr Tubthumper I believe with a worrying 75.43% AG from a 19:24 SB/PB. Put's him into fourth in the AG battle and up the League table.

Bloody Worthing!
I remember you telling me now. Hilly, hilly Tenby.

How do you seperate the three disciplines and transitions on a Garmin? penny's harmonica managed to do it.

I've seen the Tenby event on TV. A lovely part of the world (I used to live near there) but really hilly; even the sea is hilly there. I got the impression that they don't do the Ironman all in one go but split it over the weekend - but perhaps there are various options. Whichever way anyone does it they deserve max respect.

I guess you are aiming to peak for the Bewl Water event? Low mileage doesn't seem to be a big deal in terms of your performance so you can 'get away with' a light schedule? On the new challenger in the AG league, Herr T, I think we ought to find a reason to ban him.

I'm 22 upwards for 5k at the moment but as you say rest sems to agree with me. Cycling a quick for me 12 miles tomorrow before Hove Prom. Will then try the 2 miles at 7:45 mile pace and go from there. Need to crank it up slowly.

Are you back running yet?

Might have a go tomorrow; probably shouldn't which of course = probably will. (Last week's cross-country one really did me in; I've got tarmac withdrawal symptoms.)

The Tenby thing I was thinking of is officially known as the Long Course Weekend (see link). clever idea as you can do the swim, bike and marathon as separate and one-off events over the 3 days or tackle all 3 and count them as a kind of extended Ironman. Tenby must be rammed full over the weekend with the sheer number of events; it's a great marketing idea. Obviously the real headcases (who shall be nameless) do a one day real-deal Ironman.

Good luck with your training tomorrow.

On NSC for over two decades...
Good one. The rules allow the new AG to be added but you might as well wait until you knock another 4 seconds off.

I'll take every advantage... on AG I was performing better than the three chaps who finished ahead of me!

:p

Could someone change my time for me on the leaderboard please, 19:53 for me at Hull PR this morning, 1st sub 20 of the year.
I’m happy with that, negative split as well, hopefully I can push on from here.

Excellent. Negative splits is the way to go.

That's a very good time at Bognor. Well done.

As feared I had to drop out after about 7 minutes - just felt everything was about to ping. No worries.

Congratulations on making the right decision.

I had a nice 7:30, 7:15, 6:55 mile negative splits today. Building up but happy to get a 70.5% on a slow 22+.

Still on the injury bench, and funding it frustrating!

Been stuck on 49 ParkRuns for a few weeks and keen to reach the 50 milestone ...hoping to be back for a ParkRun in 2 weeks time.

Noticed my ParkRun SB from June of 21.17 seems to have dropped off the table. Has VAR declared it invalid or something?

What's the injury? Good luck with it.

I'll look at the videos and decide whether to reinstate your 21:17.
