You can tell the big two marathons (for most people) are out of the way – this thread is dropping like a stone
Anyway, the Ironman training plan calls for intervals tomorrow with 'relaxed sprints' Any ideas what they might be, or how they might differ from standard ones? Just a bit slower, I'm guessing, but enough to get the HR up...
TIA
I've started working on weekly relaxed intervals. Decided to allow each sprint to easily allow for 9" pace same distance jog recovery and to start the first one at a pace that allows the body to fractionally do each one with more effort than the last. Also thinking 10k finish rather than 5k.
Not really aiming at a top speed, which is just as well in this wind.
Will continue the easy start to Hove Prom Parkrun dropping 15 seconds every week and race from 2 miles. So 8" pace last week down to 7:45 this week. Great fun overtaking over 50 runners last week. Made up for being overtaken by 2,000 runners from 2 pens at the marathon. Was easy to spot my solitary bag in the blue bag pick up area.........
