I think that Thomson will be the man playing the passes and Livermore will be holding the midfield together. My impression of the friendlies is that Thomson is being encouraged to get forward and play more through balls than previously.

I remain unconvinced... tell me when he has really changed a game for us? He should be BTW...

Thomson is a good player. Wilkins played him a role that didn't suit him and discouraged him from getting forward and playing attacking passes.
