What is all this clamour for a creative midfield just wait and watch Livermore and Thomson together they will be the bees knees with McLeod on 1 wing and Cox on the other.

Speaking to a senior pro yesterday, dont ask me who cos I wont tell you, but he said the mood and atmosphere at the club has improved tremendously since MA has been there and is far far better than it ever was last season. The players them selves are optomistic that they can do well this season.

That can't be right surely? Wilkins bled blue and white didn't he and was a terrific man manager? :jester:

We need a creative midfielder because neither Thomson or Livermore fit that particular bill...

Oh, and what a shock that the mood in the camp is better now we have a good man-manager rather than a p1ss-poor one!

I think that Thomson will be the man playing the passes and Livermore will be holding the midfield together. My impression of the friendlies is that Thomson is being encouraged to get forward and play more through balls than previously.

Would love to have been a fly wall on the wall to hear what MA said to Coxy about him getting invloved yesterday when it was nothing to do with him. At least it shows the players solidarity even if it was his best mate who got hacked.

I noticed the ref tell MA and KK to substitute the players and then sensibly gave a yellow card. A red one would have meant a suspension when the season starts but how does a yellow affect them is that recorded.

Basically a Lewes player went over the top ina tackle on Jake Robinson and Coxy ran and piled in and had to be pulled off and in so doing got his shirt ripped. Handbags really but could have resulted in a red card with a less understanding and sensible ref.

That was my impression from the Lewes friendly. I think they can be a good combination in the centre, allowing Adams to play two attack minded players on the flanks. We just need to sort the left-back position.

Did you see the state of Cox's shirt? Still it livened up what had been a pretty dull game.
