Not when I tried it
Strange when a small ale becomes very popular people 'in the know' slag it off.
I would not mind betting that if 10 years ago you happened to be in Cornwall and tried a local brew called Doom Bar you would have liked it.
Although I will admit it is very inconsistent, I had 2 pints in St Ives on Sunday in two different pubs, the first was a fabulous pint, quite thick with a creamy head, beautiful, the second was the complete opposite.
I have found this with Doom Bar for a couple of years now, but a good pint is a great pint, but it's all subjective.
I predict the next one to go all Doom Bar will be Dartmoor Brewery (the highest brewery in the land) Jail Ale is stunningly popular in this manor squire.
