Are you not a bit more nervous about that game now though? I know I am. Glenn Murray will DEFINITELY score against us.

I wouldn't say I'm any more nervous tbh, being as any goal he does happen to score against us next season could only ever be a CONSOLATION goal.

I'll probably clap. Ironically.

Although he had a great season with us he has never really been a favorite with Gus and the fans. He really was the League one Berbatov, brilliant at times but sulky and if the season as a whole was not going his way (or ours last season) liable to suffer from severe lack of form.
Good luck to him for getting a better pay deal, i dont think it will worry him he chose our bitter rivals, he never really warmed to our fans anyway did he? I may be wrong but i cannot see him playing as well as this season in a team who are likely to be mid-table at best and where he is playing against MUCH stronger defences. We however are in the same situation and i am sure Gus and his team are looking at better prospects than Mr Murray. Yes shame he has gone but if he had stayed he would have been financially poorer and we would still have a sulky striker who wanted away. Lets get in a hungry striker who wants to further his career and not one who wants a bigger pay packet!

Is he totally unemployable once his career is over then?

Afraid so yup. Can you imagine asking him to work an office job? Moody git.

You know full well what I mean, if you stop being pedantic for a moment. He's hardly going to nab Andy Gray's job on Sky Sports is he?

Don't be so sure. A lot of people have decided that Murray is now shit but *whisper it* he's actually VERY good. He could make a genuine difference to that team.

If that were true Freedman would look a bit of a twat if Murray did sign for them. I prefer to blame the agent for trying to do a 'Rooney'. In truth I can't see Murray joining Palace unless he was offered a huge wage and long contract in any case.

My suspicion is that he was interested in Murray until Murray's agent decided to turn the process into a very public, Dutch auction. I'd be surprised if he ended up there now.

Christ, here we bloody go again - OK, who is your supposed "good authority" then? Come on, spit it out, who is it? Put up or shut up, for once.

You haven't answered the question. Who is it? Otherwise it's zero credibility to you, zero credibility to your puerile "I have my sources" nonsense and you'll been seen as speaking with all the authority of Mr Burns in a job interview for a job as a scout specialising in young goalscorers.

Remind me where exactly Glenn has ended up please?

Gus has got the best out of him so far, will be interesting how they get the best out of him at Palace and if the fans warm to him or not.

If this is his last big move he needs to prove its about progression and not just money...

He'll make a difference to that team for sure. But one other things for sure - there are far better strikers in this League to worry about than Glenn Murray, I'll save my nerves for them.

Of that extra 96k He wont even see half of it after tax. My point is does that 2k difference mean that much when your already being paid over 400k a year???

Er, it's an extra £3.5k a week, or £182k a year, or £546k over three years. I'd f***ing notice if it was in my paypacket.

True, but the ONE person I would like least to score against us is Muzza.

I must say that it is a pleasant surprise that we sign anyone this early during the off-season, with our history of last-minute, desperation signings.

New management and owners = efficient negotiating.

Looking forward to our trip to Falmer even more now.

Good luck (meant with all sincerity) next season.

Oh dear Walt is doing an 'I told you so'. Unlike so much of what you say which seems to be the material from your stand up act for once you got it right, well done.

Hoskins has scored 2 less goals than Murray for a shit team! Would put a lot of money on Murray not scoring over 10
