Because of bad management at the beginning of the season, lack of experience from the owners. Its not all about money fella. Next season we will show you how better we will be. Id like to see who you sign for net season

Poyet and Bloom have already made their intention to sign at least 6 players, a lot of the players we already have to give us a great shout for next season. We already signed Will Hoskins from Brizzle Rovers for half a mill, a player that still managed a great season for a team that got relegated. if we had been desperate to keep murray that would have easily funded him to stay, Gus didnt fancy him for next season, so good luck with him, you'll need it, he really isn't all that, he had one good season in 3 and a half years

I'd say Murray was probably our second most important player behind Bennett. Anyone claiming it isn't a massive loss is in complete denial.

We've lost a quality player to our rivals, yes, but life goes on. If we bring in Lua-Lua, with him and Benno on the wings with Noone backing them up, we could put El-Abd up front and he'd score 20 goals a season.

As for Murray, I think he's been waiting for a move away ever since he got here. Let him have his payday, and we can all have a good old laugh about it this time next year when it all ends in tears for him.

The Berbatov of League 1? I think to call Berbatov the Murray of the Premier League would be more apt.

you do know that appellation is a bit of a back handed compliment, Berbatov isnt exactly the most favorite player even amongst fans of his clubs. gets results, but lazy style and prone to injury/protracted off-form periods. if you think he's the best player in the shirt, i can only assume your memory of Brighton is limited to three years. in fact even in that time we had arguably better, Forster, Bennett, Lua Lua, Croft.

He only realy came good under Poyet in a side that created lots of chances, some would say that he should have scored more.

It's clear that Poyet offered him what he thought he was worth and was not going to chase after him as he knows he can get better. Now we have Barnes (21) and Hoskins (25) both who scored 20 goals last season two be joined by two other forwards! Happy times!!!!

I would like to thank Murray thow for turning a derby into a much more tasty affair, going to realy enjoy 20'000 albion fans giving him grief next season.

And Palace, enjoy treading water next season we are looking at the other end of the table.

Any home fans who clap Murray at Falmer should be thrown out by the stewards. It should be deemed an offence comparable to spitting at people in the family area. Could be the worst reception for any single player since Henry Hughton.

I've also only just seen his infamous Tweet on April 13 (presume that's been done to death on here, but can't be bothered to read it all - "I will not be joining Palace!!!" Unbelievable, could have been Nick Clegg talking...).

Ah Glenn, you foolish foolish boy! Should have stayed with a big club. Still, you are replaceable and are a miserable weird moody northern git that none of us have ever really warmed to so Palace are welcome to you. Tony & Gus have proved themselves to date and I have no doubt we'll get someone better than you (Hoskins is already a candidate for that) and that we will be taking the piss long and hard all season out of both you and Palace.

I would ordinarily wish you luck but on this occasion I hope you break both your legs and your career ends up shit street.

Is Murray the new McGleish ?. I get the feeling it may be even stronger than that.

I don't blame Murray for moving on to somewhere he thinks will give more financial security ( tee-hee ) for him and his family. Most of us would do exactly the same if we had to. The only real problem here is that he's moved to the one place in the known universe that we hoped he wouldn't go to. Had he gone to, say, Leicester or Hull, I doubt many of us would be calling for his head. Most likely, we'd be saying " cheers for helping us get to the championship, good luck, shame to lose you but that's football " etc
