I hate Palace as much as anyone, but this stuff saying Murray is useless and we are better off without him is just plain stupidity. He was class last year, without him we wouldn't have gone up, and was in our top 3 best players last year. Time will tell whether we will replace him effectively, top quality established championship strikers are hard to get nowadays without paying huge amounts of money. Will we be prepared to pay up to £3 million for one player, time will tell. Good the optimism is high however.

You must have no wagecap ? (as usual). In which case administration will be waiting for you by the end of the season (as usual).

Nobber.

Remind me where exactly Glenn has ended up please?

Jesus you are pleased with yourself..... make sure you wipe it with a Kleenex once you have finished.

Well 2k a week is 104k extra per year, which is another 312k over his three year contract, so I'd say it's quite a lot.

Big commitment for an unproven at Championship player! I can see why Murray took the offer but I really don't see how this is a good deal for Palace?
You could have done much better for that amount of cash.

At least it stokes up the rivalry nicely!

What a choice for Murray! On the 22nd July Palace play Crawley whilst the Brighton squad are in Portugal playing quality opposition.

Agreed he was a good striker... on his day, which towards the end of his contract he really was good (may a reason why?). However, where do you get the idea he is a top quality established Championship striker when he has never played there? If Barnes started every game he would have certainly scored more goals, infact Barnes should have scpred more goals with the chances he missed.

One side of Murrays game that will be missed is his hold up play, which was good, you could see that after the Southampton game. However, I hope he f*cks up big time and has a slow poor start and has the pikeys on his back early doors :)

There's no doubt about the fact he can be a good player but he has to be motivated to prove it, The way he performed this season compared to the rest of his time here are miles apart. Yes he scored goals before this season but his whole style of play was lazy and he had a general could'nt be arsed atitude about him that frustrated many including myself. If Palace can keep him on top of his game then they've got a bloody good striker on they're hands but now he's got a 3 year contract sorted if he does the same there as he done here then they've got 2 years of frustration before they see what he's really capable of.

You Palace dickheads have not got a clue. Yeah Murray done the business this season, playing up front for a team that played football. You lot of hoof and hope type football won't see the best of him at all. besides which, when you go back into administration, he'll be off finding the next mug with money willing to take a chance on a non proven striker.

In short f*** you and f*** Murray.

This. Well summed up.

I think it makes the summer even more fasinating. It would seem we decided "not" to match other offers for Murray .If that is Poyets plan then our strikers that he brings in should prove i hope better than Murray........(and i dont mean Owen ,Hesky etc )
