See - can't provide evidence or an arguement :completeloon: ( Bozza - please could we have a Brunswick smilie ? Go on, you know it makes sense ! )

i can....but i have much bigger fish to fry on the debate front these days than some right wing middle class clown.

asking for the board moderator to side with you and to create "forum public" insults to me shows you are rattled....this is the act of a fool....and i will report you.

I doubt anyone in their right mind would say those demonstrations were 'pointless'.

i know many who dont like football who would say it was pointless, a tibetan monk would say it was pointless.......you are in the realm of subjectivity....and i know many at the #O movement in London and NY who in their subjectivity see at as more important that one would see the Falmer protests....why? because they are there 24/7....no-one did this for falmer....and falmer was to do with sport, and community, #O is to do with banks robbing peoples money (bailouts from tax payers yet big bonuses and stock scams and greed etc etc).

I know this is a very "Daily Mail" comment and not something that I make a habit of but.....

Why arent any of these people WORKING?
Well ... it all started with too many sub-prime mortgages going tits up, leading to a crisis in the banking system. What happened next was ...

Oh. Work it out for yourself.

I particularly enjoyed the irony of a capitalism protest in which the participants were having to use the toilet in Starbucks

If I were in charge of that shop, I'd tell them to do one

As long as they purchased some on the retailer's overpriced wares they are fully entitled to use the facilities. Besides which if they did start relieving themselves in the street people really would get annoyed.

this is about a specific point, that the protest has forced St Pauls to shut. are you contesting this? easy enough to confirm, and someone has above. seems sometimes, BBC might just report things that happen. myopic dismissal of "the MSM" is as bad as blindly eating all they feed.

The most amusing thing is when you see people protesting agaisnt the evil global corporations while on their iphones, drinking their starbucks coffees in their nike trainers.

and, my favorite, using a mask popularised by a film made by the Warner Bros media corporation. i bet they get a royalty for each one too

i think it should be a miniture V mask, or prehaps a one of the men in black?

Only in this country!

Anywhere else in the world the old bill would have steamed in and cracked a few skulls and they would have been on there way in a couple of hours

to be fair, they cant, because the protesters are on private land owned by the church, who have given their permission.

And if they did, then the OB could start to remove them for public disorder offences - Hooray !
