I see Chris Wilder has managed to secure himself a punditry berth on MOTD2 tonight; obviously calculated to remind those currently throwing darts at their ‘contacts’ books that he’s still available…

Even though we know our GPotter is a far superior manager, i'd think Spurs would be wary that they could sack Nuno, go for Potter, and a similar scenario play out. Clearly the players just arent playing for Nuno, maybe because he's not a big enough name with trophies under his belt, who knows the reason, but they wont want to risk it happening again. They'll go for a European name with Champions League experience, but whereas in the summer Levy was getting turned down by a lot of people, he'll now have to throw some money at it to get a Conte type in.

The Sun has a piece on how Spurs could line up under Potter in January. Includes the signings of Sanchez and Bissouma who apparently is available for 40 million. Do people really get paid to write this

As if anyone can remember a situation in the recent Premier League history where a manager left a team to join another and "took players with them". It simply doesn't happen.

Tabloid stories not based on genuinely reliable sauces. Borne out at transfer windows …. they lie for a few months and get it all wrong.

A bunch of Arsenal or West Ham supporting liars.

G Potter is inevitably much more switched on than to consider, even if such positions were available, the poisoned chalice that is Spurs, Manu, Arse, or perhaps less so Citeh. oh and then there is the NUFC thing

Hopefully he is enjoying life here. with his family ?, he is doing just beautifully with Albion on a progressive basis - Surely Tony ' wont let him go ' given how he has now set things up !

Our Star Man despite the view of others on here ! :albion2:

“…so high is his stock that maybe he understandably feels he can do better than Spurs.”

Well, there is no ‘maybe’ about him thinking he could do better than Levy or the Saudi Mafia at Newcastle. He already has done; Bloom & Barber.

Hasenhüttl would be interesting ….. two 0-9 losses in the last two years.

He doesn’t operate on Delia-esque buttons, so he can’t use that excuse. Their squad’s cost more than ours and their wages to total income ratio is 90%, he’s backed.

They did a lot of shit, expensive signings just before his time though. Think he has done a decent job but nothing that should make any bigger club look at him.

Absolutely crazy. Nuno is a great manager and Wolves fans were gutted he quit. The situation proves that Spurs are rotten to the core. They're fans should be blaming Levy.

Unlike the trophy laden players and the club as a whole?

Tottenham are a joke. They have been bang average for most of my life apart from the odd season here and there. I don't know why the players or fans think they're something special.

this. just finishing there or thereabouts every season has somehow earned them the title of 'one of the big six'. and what for? huddersfield have more first division titles than them.

A spend of £40m in transfer fees this summer, when other clubs reined in expenditure due to the hit from no stadium income.

Indeed.

Brighton net spend last 3 years £60M (last two years exactly zero)

Southampton net spend last 3 years £25m (last two years £7m)
