Actually Manila leaves a lot to be desired. Heavy pollution and dreadful traffic and what must be the world's worst international airport. I should have said Pompey as well, it is a real blight on the South Coast.

Bollocks. Manila is a great city, vibrant and young. Bit smelly, mind.

No, its Luton. Little tip – don’t do a micro dot in Luton. I cried for a week after that hideous acid Saturday night down town.

Stoke, Swindon and Birkenhead are all places in the UK that I would rather not live...abroad the roughest place I have been to is Juliaca in Peru, think of Kabul during the time of the Taleban and you aren't far off the mark.
