Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
I happened upon The Spy Who Loved Me whilst burning off the excesses of the weekend in the new Withdean gym and thought it would be mildly interesting to see which one comes out on top.

Feel free to add pictures of your favourite Bond girl etc.

<Poll to follow>

Multiple choice as exceedingly difficult to name one favourite.

The only two Bond films I like slightly are 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' and 'Goldeneye' and as 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' has the best music and the best song, it wins.

No Casino Royale (67) or Casino Royale (54) or Never Say Never Again (83)? Tut tut.

The World is Not Enough contains my favourite line from a Bond film:

Valentin Zukovsky (robbie coltrane) "I'm looking for a submarine. It's big, black and the driver's a very good friend of mine"

But it's not my favourite film by any definition.

I quite like Live and Let Die, it's one that I can remember parts of after watching for years on TV, unlike many others.

I really like The Living Daylights as it was the first I saw at the cinema (and the reason why Dalton was always my favourite Bond, long before people went back and reappraised his performance in the wake of Daniel Craig's gritty interpretation).

I've enjoyed all three of Craig's outings so far, but Quantum of Solace is clearly the lesser of the three.

So I'm going with four: Live and Let Die, Living Daylights, Casino Royale (06), Skyfall (12)

From Russia with Love as the Bond Girl is bloody gorgeous, also quite topical seeing as we seem to be going backwards to the Cold War.

Goldfinger has got to be THE classic Bond film, so many great moments in it. I also voted for You Only Live Twice for it's sheer ridiculousness (which was one of the reasons why it was so enjoyable) and Skyfall which in my view is almost or even just as good as Goldfinger.

Not sure about the film itself as I can't remember it, but this qualifies as Bond, doesn't it?

A View To A kill.

Two reasons the theme track was stunning and part filmed in Amberley where I lived for 9 years.

Roger Moore had a tough task following Sean but did well with Live and Let Die. That's the one I voted for. And as for the worst it has to be Octopussy. By then the films had become such a parody even Margaret Thatcher makes an appearance.
