and armed with that information you can do what?

Google.com search reveals 20.6 MILLION return.
Google.co.uk = 1.15M returns

his name and Brighton = 279,000 returns

his name and Falmer = 26,200 returns.

There's 11 separate individuals with that name in the Brighton phonebook.

If you include outside Brighton then there's tons more.

FOR f***'S SAKE. IT AIN'T MUCH TO GO ON IS IT?

Listen William, the dirty secret that you post shite on NSC is safe with us.

Just re-reading this entire thread, at least there's one positive to come out of it. No one will ever make the mistake of seeking legal advice on here. What NSC knows about the Data Protection Act would not fill the proverbial back of a stamp.

why dont you enlighten us then?

I think we should all give our proper names now to make it fair.

My name is......................................................................

Is it a DPA breach in each place that you can find out a players Date of Birth? If so there are an awful lot of sites that need shutting.

Beachy, I never saw that thread. Still wouldn't hold up in court, due to Buzzer highlighting how many there are about.

Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
I think whoever gave your name out (I'm sure it wasn't Bozza) should no longer be an 'administrator' of this board, its pretty daft when you are asked to give personal details in confidence that some RETARD give them out willy nilly.

I'm sure if the are pubically NAMED AND SHAMED it will all be OK.

*or at least will provide a few days of amusement on NSP*

It would appear that NSC broke the Data Protection Act when it passed my name to Dave The Gaffer who subsequently published it on this site. This has been confirmed by a lawyer.

Not only is this illegal, it also goes against accepted internet protocol. I am not happy with this.

I am considering my next move.

What do other people think?

I think your next move should be to f*** RIGHT OFF.

Anonymity has be guaranteed on a forum like this. If the administrators or moderators pass on information such as this then it could dissaude others from joining NSC.

I've barely been on the board over the past couple of days and only seen the barest of details relating to this issue.

Firstly, of course, I have no idea yet whether personal details have been revealed by an NSC moderator. Regardless of this, and regardless of whether it's illegal or not is neither here nor there - it is obviously wrong.

Because of this I'm going to remove admin rights from all NSC moderators for the time being until this is all resolved.

One thing worth pointing out though - no-one supplies their (real) name when they register - it is not requested. It can, on occasion, be deduced from email addresses obviously.

If there's one thing more determined than anything else to dissuade someone from joining is having miserable sods like Will Chops on it. Can you find one positive thing that bloke has posted about the Albion, Dick Knight or even about being alive and well in this beautiful world of ours?

If people want to put their own name up then fair enough, it should be respected if the rest want some anonimity for either personal or work reasons.

Saying that if someone had a complaint it must have been London Irish who not only had his name put up but his picture too. Perseus too I believe had the same treatment.

It happens, it happened to me innocently a few years ago, apologies have been said and any reasonable person would accept that imo.
