Just far enough away from LDC
I'd be interested to hear why that happened today, maybe all the players are ill or something like that, because it was almost too bad to be true.
That's a fair point. In other games where we've conceded loads we've had players sent off (Huddersfield away and Bournemouth at home or Walsall in the football league trophy) or we've had very very poor decisions at key moments (villa away last year). Can't say any of that today.

When you play like that it’s surely something going on behind the scenes that’s the issue. Players seemed so unmotivated.
The pressure they were put under on the pitch by a really good Forest team resulted in us falling apart. That never happened under RDZ or Potter as we had a way of playing that meant that we had structure and a team understanding, and a belief in it ( even when we had a couple of big defeats under RDZ you could still see our way of playing and a belief and desire)
Fabian is out of his depth.
I believe that the players have lost trust in Fabian. I think it’s probably a combination of a few things but I don’t think his communication style helps, but more importantly they just don’t understand his plan, or his ‘tactical plan’ is so poor that they don’t buy into it.
Additionally, he is discarding technically good players and probably pissing off key members of the squad. There’s real potential for damage with that.
If I was PB / TB I would ensure that he’s fully supported at this point to see if he can pull this one around ( we are missing some key players at present although I’m not sure that FH’s training methods help with injuries).
However, today will be a real wake up call for PB/TB as well as the fans, as what I saw today was a group of players that had lost trust/ respect for their coach.

Potter: We Did everything right on the pitch apart from score

De Zerbi: We did Everything right for a while then just hit nuclear and fell off completely towards the end.

FH: We're doing nothing right and we can't score.

4th time's the charm, I believe

Nottingham Forest are the sort of team you do not play possession football against, which I see from the stats we did. To neutralise them you sit deep and let them have possession in their own half.

I said that the other day before the match, and this result has not led me to change my mind.

Agreed - but if your starting 11 has never seen 2 consecutive games all season with the same 11, then something is clearly wrong, or it suggests the manager doesn't have a clue. Yes, we've had too many injuries but it seems FH has no idea who to play from what he has available.

Huddersfield away ?
Yeah, 7-1. So this would be worse. So I can take something from the match.

Things is, I'm not so bothered as I was when we let a two goal lead slip against Wolves. I think there comes a stage when it turns into 'gallows humour' and doesn't seem as disappointing. I've been sitting here exchanging messages with friends who support other teams in a jovial manner.

David Gilmour's armpit
Today's performance is one of the worst I've ever seen in nearly 50yrs of watching this team given the level we are playing at. It's worse than the 5nil home to Bournemouth by some margin
I'm not saying it was a decent performance, but I've seen us play far worse than that and actually win games.
It all went Forest's way, today - they were clinical in their finishing. Do you think their fans were calling for the head of Nuno, after last weeks 5 - 0 drubbing by Bournemouth? Nope....they came back and thumped us by 7.
Do I blame FH? Nope.
If it became a regular thing, then yes....but it isn't, is it? Up until the Everton match, only Liverpool and the Arse had lost fewer matches.
Keep yer hair on. :)
