Today's performance is one of the worst I've ever seen in nearly 50yrs of watching this team given the level we are playing at. It's worse than the 5nil home to Bournemouth by some margin

Agreed - but you can't legislate for all those injuries. Not suggesting the squad is balanced but there's plenty there to work with for a manager with a clue.

Part way thru the second half we won the ball near our goal. Eighteen touches of the ball took us up the pitch and we had a shot on their goal - and missed.

A few minutes later they won the ball near their goal. Four touches later they had a shot on our goal and scored.

Yes. It is (in terms of goals).

Only two heavier - 9-0 v Middlesbrough (1958), 8-0 V Northampton (1966). And a wartime game v Norwich which doesn't really count.
