Not for me under any circumstances. I didn't even get my ears piereced until my 30's. My kids arranged it for Mother's Day. I was ok when my right ear was done but my left ear was agony. I have very small ears and hardly any lobe. I don't like pain.

Nose studs are nothing. A friend of mine had her mid-life crisis and had her nipples pierced. Ouch.
