That was a nice day out. Chatted to a few Norwich fans in the lengthy queues for chips around the ground. They'd been hoping we would play a "B" team and were a little downcast when they saw it wasn't that. Still, Norwich were ok for the first 35 minutes or so. But not any good after that.

For us it was a lovely afternoon in the end. Minteh good value, Enciso still running into players rather than passing - but at least getting his goal - the magnificence that is Georginio was as wonderful as ever and then March came on and scored. Pity we can't play them every week, but then we'd be in the Championship.

Back home after a cold afternoon at Carrow Road.

Wobbly first half but good subs early. Enciso staying on after a poorish first half paybacked with a goal. Georginio was excellent as was Minteh whose pace caused endless problems for Norwich. Unfortunately a knee injury at the end of the first half ( hopefully not too serious), had him walking off early in the second half to give way to Solly.

Brilliant atmosphere, really special when Solly scored and some great back and forth between us and Canary fans - apart from the frickin’ drum, credit to them for making lots of noise and staying until the end.

I was impressed with McConville - a strapping, tall lad and looked very comfortable in our central defence.

Minteh and Rutter are going to be top players for us by the end year of the season I reckon.
Walking to the ground an Irish chap came over and had a chat. A family friend of McConville he said lagging behind were his father and brother who had flown over from Ireland for the game. Sounds like he had been told if the game was won he'd get on.

I don't really think anyone played badly today. No one played well, no one played good. It's a win we are through to the next round that's the important thing. Fantastic turn out today, great result, let's build on this now.

So pleased Fabian is taking this competition seriously and fielded the kind of line up some of us were asking for.

Meanwhile, over on their forum, Brentford fans are bemoaning their own club’s indifference to the cups and the fact that their season is pretty much over.

I thought Mitoma had a quiet game by his standards. I was hoping to see him roasting some Championship defenders but he never quite got going.

So so so pleased for Solly. Could play a huge part for us in the second half of the season and I’m delighted he’s shown the gaffer right then and there what he can do.

Minteh was good, but I’m a big admirer of what Solly brings coming in off the flank and defensively.

I’ll admit, I had some doubts whether he’d make it back after such a nasty injury and long time out, but he’s shown great resilience and desire and that makes me like him even more.

A very important player for us going forward, but we need to manage his minutes.

to be honest there are more than Brentford fans bemoaning that result , fair play to Argyle but bugger me that result sent hundreds of acca's to the bin.

He said that himself in his post-match interview
